I disagree. We create websites for clients, and they care about functionality. As long as everything works well and the information is clear, why not? Sometimes, crazy animations and unusual layouts can overwhelm users.

I see ur point but at the same time ur using a trending course tactic on ur lp where you only prompt an action after x amount of time. (I think u nailed it btw, love it) but my point is that its okay to have similarities in some aspects because it works! Plus, is usually designers who have an issue with this not necessarily clients. I see both sides and both have pros and cons

Opposite can be true though. Don't reinvent the wheel - use sales psychology, limited spots available, show the results fast, show them the value prop fast. The most creative and new designs do not always win

Ran I have to disagree with you on this. There is no need to fight the trend. There’s a reson why everyone is doing it same. It because it converts, the people who are making the hires use it as a standard to vet how good a designer you’re.
