🌙 Chopin: Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 — but on guitar. Performed by Vera Danilina, this version transforms one of Chopin’s most iconic piano works into something unexpectedly intimate. Originally written in the 1830s, the piece is all about a singing melody, delicate rubato, and subtle emotion. On piano, it flows effortlessly. On guitar? Every note has to be shaped, sustained, and breathed into life. 🎸 Vera Danilina creates a true cantabile line on an instrument that naturally fades. The melody feels closer, softer—almost like a whisper. The familiar becomes something new: less grand, more personal. Which version moves you more—the original piano or this intimate guitar interpretation? 🎧

D'Angelo talked about how he developed his left hand piano style at a young age, due to his father not allowing them to have a bass guitar or drum set. he used the piano to emulate bass & drums.

"Asturias (Leyenda)" by Isaac Albéniz is a classic work, originally composed for piano. However, its guitar arrangement has become one of the most iconic pieces in the Spanish classical guitar repertoire.

D'Angelo explaining the origins of his left hand piano style, which was developed at a young age as a result of his father refusing to give him a bass guitar or drum set. The piano was his way of emulating a rhythm section. Clip via the 2015 "Devil's Pie" documentary
