First wave of snow intercepted in Kansas City this morning with a FLUFFY 1-3” of snowfall by late morning Saturday. The second stronger wave tonight into Sunday could drop another 2-4”, with much higher totals south of I70. I am on my way to southern Arkansas into northern Mississippi to cover the #icestorn for AccuWeather

It comes as the country braces itself for further disruption as heavy snow and strong winds are forecast to hit parts of England and Wales tomorrow. In Scotland, more snow fell overnight, and a major incident remains in force in Aberdeenshire with all schools there still closed. Vanessa Taaffe reports.
