All this discourse but no one questioning why Wanda and Emma have dialogue stating that the Wanda we’re playing as, didn’t do the whole No More Mutants thing but the Wanda variant from Emma’s timeline did. And then you turn around and she has dialogue with H.E.R.B.I.E that says...

A Mule Called Wanda: The Curious Case of a 'Ballot Stuffer' Wanda Geter-Pataky works for the State of Connecticut. Wanda was caught on tape in a blatant act of "ballot stuffing." We were all told that the 2,000 Mules video was fiction, so Wanda must be the only "mule" in America. But it gets worse. Wanda is accused of threatening voters to get them to vote for her candidate of choice. In this case, it's incumbent Mayor Joe Ganim. But a judge has ordered a new election because of this lone case of "ballot stuffing"! Curious, indeed. There were numerous cases of mules caught on video in the 2020 election. No one cared. That's because Donald Trump was running for president. Donald Trump, as we are told, is a very bad man. A mean man who doesn't know when to stop tweeting. That means "democracy" has to go out the window. The Department of Justice has not filed a case against Wanda for "voter intimidation." Wanda still works for the Connecticut government. That's because Wanda is a Democrat. If Wanda was a Republican, she would already be awaiting trial, if not locked up in prison. The same goes for Fulton County workers who told election observers to go home so they could run ballots through machines when they thought no one was looking. Trump lost Georgia by 12,000 votes. Georgia didn't have chain-of-custody documents on thousands of ballots. Where did those ballots come from? Mules like Wanda? Guess we'll never know. And we don't have the right to find out. Or so we are told. That's because asking questions about elections is suddenly considered to be "undermining democracy." Challenging elections, we are told, is "threatening democracy." Except when Democrats do it. Like they did in 2000, 2004, and 2016. Then it's the most democratic thing ever. So, it looks like we should stop asking questions about Wanda. And the thousands of other "mules" who some believe rigged the 2020 election. We don't want to be accused of "undermining democracy" for questioning the integrity of our elections.

Initially, John Cleese didn't have any thought of casting an American for the role of Wanda in "A Fish Called Wanda" (1988). He got the idea to cast Jamie Lee Curtis in the role only after seeing "Trading Places" (1983)- when his daughter took him to see the movie. Cleese felt that everyone in England could see the reasoning behind casting Jamie Lee Curtis in the role but no one in America could, as she had the reputation of being a "Scream Queen". Cleese chose Kevin Kline for the movie as he was a great "over-actor". On the reception of the movie in America, John Cleese said, "We were all very pleased with how 'A Fish Called Wanda' turned out. I had made sure that there was nothing in the movie that couldn’t be understood by an American. The New York Times hated it, but a lot of critics’ opinions are irrational. One doesn’t take it seriously except for the effect it has on audiences. In New York, it had a major effect and none of the magazines wanted to do interviews with us. They saw Wanda as an obscure little film of no interest to their readers. But we platformed it, opening it in two cinemas in New York and one in LA. That allowed the buzz to build and soon the magazines were ringing back saying can we have that interview after all. It took about six weeks in America before we felt it was a hit. It succeeded almost everywhere, except Portugal and Japan (perhaps because of their attachment to fish)." (John Cleese's interview with Geoffrey Macnab, Sight and Sound, 2003) P.S: On this day, 38 years ago, "A Fish Called Wanda" (1988) premiered in New York City, USA.
