We are watching people drop dead in the streets because all they have to consume on any given day is water. Water. Only water. For days and day they only have water. Now imagine if Gaza didn’t even have this. You won’t have to imagine soon. Because fuel is running out. And even the most essential necessity for life will soon be dried out. Until this happens, Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine) ) x The Sameer Project will continue to purchase and deliver water to as many neighborhoods that we can possibly reach in the north. On July 15, we distributed water to… Gaza City: • al-Maznaz area in al-Nasr neighborhood – 6,000 liters • al-Falah Street in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • al-Saraya area in al-Rimal neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Shawa in Al-Tuffah neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Yarmouk area in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • Dawwar Al Malia in Tal Al Hawa – 15,000 liters (Truck 1: 7,000, Truck 2: 4,000, Truck 3: 4,000) • Universities District in Tal Al Hawa – 10,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000) • Abu Mazen Roundabout in Tal Al Hawa – 7,000 liters • Al Zarqa – 6,000 liters • Tal Al Hawa – 6,000 liters • Sheikh Radwan – 6,000 liters • Gaza Port – 6,000 liters • Nafak Street – 5,000 liters • al-Fayrouz Towers area – 5,000 liters • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 10,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000) We provided 97,000 liters a fresh drinking water. Water trucks and aid workers are being targeted leaving us between the choice of working in high risk or depriving people from water. With no hesitance every single team member on the ground decided and insisted on continuing water distributions. Donate today: For water, we have 5 coordinators in the North and more than 20 men providing water daily. Our selection of the men working on trucks are based on our trusted network but also the level of néed as many of these men are the only providers in their family. On the 9th of July, the Sameer Project x Translating Falasteen (Palestine) distributed 117,000 liters of water. Each 1000 liter on average is $62 so such a distribution costs more than $7,000, without including labour and transport. Our team gave out water to the following areas in Gaza city: • al-Falah Street in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • al-Maznaz area in al-Nasr neighborhood – 6,000 liters • Al Maamel area in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • Al-Shawa in Al-Tuffah neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Yarmouk area in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • Asqoula area in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 11,000 liters (Truck 1: 7,000, Truck 2: 4,000) • Al Shamaa area in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 7,000 liters • Al Nadeem Street in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Al Zawyea Street in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 7,000 liters • Jabalia Station area in al-Daraj neighborhood – 9,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 4,000) • al-Fawakher area in al-Daraj neighborhood – 4,000 liters • al-Faourk area in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 5,000 liters • al-Thalathini area in al-Sabra neighborhood – 4,000 liters • al-Nasr neighborhood – 12,000 liters (Area 1: 6,000, Area 2: 6,000) • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 16,000 liters (Truck 1: 6,000, Truck 2: 5,000, Truck 3: 5,000) • Sheikh Radwan – 6,000 liters • Gaza Port – 5,000 liters • al-Fayrouz Towers area – 5,000 liters Donate to the North campaign for more water trucks: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "North aid") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "North aid")

To sustain our very important work in the North, we need $8,000-$10,000 per day to pay for water trucks, food distributions, bread, and other life saving necessities. We have been able to help thousands upon thousands of people per day with your help. These are people in neighborhoods that would otherwise receive no help. They have come to rely on the Translating Falasteen (Translating Palestine ) x The Sameer Project teams for survival. We need your help. There is no water. Click: Not from wells or offshore aquifers. Not pumped in over the border or from purification plants. There is not enough water to come close to the daily standard advised for people anywhere across the globe…there is not enough water in Gaza. Finally a VERY small amount of fuel was released to Gaza on Thursday, the first amount in 130 days. A minimal amount that will go to hospital generators and emergency response vehicles. But water is also needed, and the amount it takes to run desalination plants is of course not met. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project provided 105,000 liters of fresh drinking water on July 6. Not nearly enough for the neighborhoods we serve, but with your support, a true difference. We supplied water to… Gaza City: • The Municipality Camp in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Jazeera camp in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • Al Maamel area in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • Bilal Bin Rabah in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • al-Falah Street in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • al-Nasr neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Al-Karama area – 10,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000) • Gaza Port – 11,000 liters (Truck 1: 6,000, Truck 2: 5,000) • Sheikh Radwan – 6,000 liters • al-Samer junction in al-Samer neighborhood – 7,000 liters • Public Service area in al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • The Municipality Park area in al-Samer area – 8,000 liters (Truck 1: 4,000, Truck 2: 4,000) • Ministry of Economy area in al-Samer area – 7,000 liters • al-Fawakher area in al-Samer area – 7,000 liters • Electricity Company area in al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 5,000 liters • Ansar area – 5,000 liters • al-Fayrouz Towers area – 5,000 liters Don’t stop supporting the North. Now that Gaza’s water availability is at crisis level, international agencies are finally talking about the manmade or “politically engineered drought.” Where were they as this catastrophe was unfolding? Children having to walk miles to fill up jerrycans or whatever they can find to supply their family with drinking water. Donate here: People will start dying of thirst. Fuel shortages due to the occupation’s blockade of the crossings has shut desalination plants and pumping stations, creating an extreme lack of clean, fresh, water supply. To combat this our teams supply water trucks all over the North, and on June 18 we visited… Gaza City: • Al-Shawa in Al-Tuffah neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Saraya area in al-Rimal neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Jazeera camp in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • Bilal Bin Rabah in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • The Area of al-Mustaqbal School in al-Daraj neighborhood – 6,000 liters • Asqoula area in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 4,000 liters • Al Zawyea Street in al-Zaytoun – 9,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 4,000) • East al-Zaytoun – 5,000 liters • al-Nasr neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Al-Karama area – 5,000 liters • Sheikh Radwan – 10,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000) • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 10,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000) • Siam Street in al-Zaytoun – 5,000 liters • al-Thawra in al-Rimal neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Nafak Street – 5,000 liters Translating Falasteen (Palestine) x The Sameer Project distributed 84,000 liters of fresh drinking water and we will continue to provide this vital service with your help. There is a Hadith on water that states… Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.” Water is life and with hour help we have been able to give this necessity for survival to the people of Northern Gaza. Food and medical supplies are only two examples of lifesaving aid that has not entered Gaza - a third and almost equally important type is fuel. Gasoline operated engines, motors, and generators cannot run without fuel entering Gaza. This includes well pumps and desalinization plants that provide life sustaining water. Not only is fresh water scarce, so is salty water that is needed for bathing, cleaning, and washing clothing. This as well requires fuel to pump saltwater so it can be used. Without fuel, fresh and salt water becomes even less readily avaiable and when it’s offered the lines are extremely long. This is what we’ve been seeing when we provide water trucks too. The lines for our fresh water span down the block. On June 14, Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project provided 117,000 liters of fresh water to… Gaza City: • The Municipality Camp in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Jazeera camp in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al Nafak area in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • Bilal Bin Rabah in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • The Area of al-Mustaqbal School in al-Daraj neighborhood – 6,000 liters • Jabalia Station area in al-Daraj neighborhood – 7,000 liters • al-Samer junction in al-Samer neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Electricity Company area in al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • Public Service area in al-Samer neighborhood – 5,000 liters • The Municipality Park area in al-Samer area – 7,000 liters • Souq Firas in the al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • al-Daraj School in al-Daraj neighborhood – 4,000 liters • Dawwar Al Malia in Tal Al Hawa – 7,000 liters • Abu Mazen Roundabout in Tal Al Hawa – 5,000 liters • Al Katiba area in Tal Al Hawa – 4,000 liters • al-Etisalat area in Tal Al Hawa – 4,000 liters • al-Nasr neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Al-Karama area – 5,000 liters • Sheikh Radwan – 5,000 liters • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 15,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000, Truck 3: 5,000) • Nafak Street – 5,000 liters • Universities District – 5,000 liters Help us provide water to the hundreds of people that line up for each one of our trucks. Fetching water is hard work. Walking miles to find a truck, waiting in line, and carting the full containers back to tents, is hard work. And as we see every day, this work is assumed by the entire family, including and mostly children. While the adults are out finding food, trying to make some money, tending to the family, children are tasked with finding water. Their little bodies carrying jerrycans the same size as them. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project provides water, with your help, to neighborhoods all over the north, every day. We try to provide relief and just some convenience to those searching for a basic necessity. We take for granted turning on a faucet, opening a refrigerator door, and finding water. On June 27 we provided water to… Gaza City: • al Nafak area in al-Daraj – 3,000 liters • al-Yarmouk area in al-Daraj neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Saraya area in al-Rimal neighborhood – 3,000 liters • al-Sikka Street in al-Tufah – 6,000 liters • al-Falah Street in al-Zaytoun neighborhood – 6,000 liters • Dawwar Al Malia in Tal Al Hawa – 7,000 liters • al-Samer junction in al-Samer neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Souq Firas in the al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • The Municipality Park area in al-Samer area – 5,000 liters • West of Dawwar Al Malia in Tal Al Hawa – 7,000 liters • Electricity Company area in al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • al-Sousy Mosque in al-Samer neighborhood – 4,000 liters • Al-Shati’ Refugee Camp – 15,000 liters (Truck 1: 5,000, Truck 2: 5,000, Truck 3: 5,000) • Sheikh Radwan – 5,000 liters • al-Nasr neighborhood – 5,000 liters • Tal Al Hawa – 4,500 liters • Gaza Port – 5,000 liters That’s 91,500 liters of fresh drinking water, to support families in need.
