big, as they say,

this is a sufficiently large jump that i'd wait for verification before losing your shit unless you run a materials engineering firm and want to try to replicate their incredibly simple methods and launch a product asap in that case: good luck, have fun

i see the point hes making here but i suggest that every paper ought to include this. authors can have a little puffery, as a treat

subthread, comments, we probably get to find out soon either way real fast my guess is if you don't hear anything by Friday we can probably pack it up and get back to it's so over

more claims i cant evaluate but which seem reasonable and salient

uh oooooooh ht @lu_sichu

hmmm

i bear the worst of gifts, a calm and apparently thoughtful discussion about why you shouldn't take it seriously at this juncture

eeeesh

i hope against all odds that this is real because they seem adorable

whoa thats crazy but have you heard this?

I mean so far as the video goes you can do that with diamagnetic materials, indeed a pyrolytic carbon flake would behave pretty much the same way.

FYI THE AUTHORS OF THE PAPER ARE NOT AND HAVE NEVER CONSIDERED THEMSELVES SUICIDAL.

Sorry, correction, looks like diamagnetic material like pyrolytic graphite. A quick YouTube search of that term and you will see the similarities.
