On August 19, the Ghanaian Ministry of Energy announced the government’s plans to set up a gas-for-power energy deal with Nigeria, in which the latter will supply Ghana from its vast natural gas reserves, and get electricity in return. This move will boost energy wealth for and deepen intra-African cooperation between both countries.
