.Ally Haire from Lilypad Network is building a coordination incentive layer for idle compute hardware. Instead of renting GPUs by the hour, they're enabling a job-based marketplace, fairer, decentralized, and monetizable. Think Hugging Face, but with compute incentives.

.Logan broke down Nockchain's GTM strategy Here's the lowdown: - Nvidia's licensing model blocks data centers from using consumer GPUs (4090, 5090, 3090) - If you use them, you lose your enterprise GPU license - But on a dollars-per-compute basis, consumer GPUs are insanely efficient - Nockchain coordinates the world's idle consumer compute into a single base layer - Top layer: any compute product (training, inference, agents) can plug in - The hardware base is already there $NOCK

$INFERRA Just came across Inferra and this one actually feels really interesting. 9ufM9TJd1UEmi9awnGfxCkCHAgQ3JZ5Sw6YxeSeEASY They're building a decentralized marketplace where AI compute becomes a tradable commodity. Instead of letting GPU power sit idle, providers can list verified compute capacity while users can buy, sell, trade, or redeem it for actual compute access. What caught my attention is that they're approaching compute like a real market, with spot trading, futures, and eventually inference markets. As AI demand keeps exploding, compute is becoming one of the most valuable resources in the industry. Projects focused on making that resource more liquid and accessible make a lot of sense to me. High risk as marketcap is tiny. But definitely an interesting compute bet I aped small. DYOR. RR

In the AI age, money will flow through compute. As AI scales, every request becomes a microtransaction of compute, and only infrastructure owners capture that flow. Aethir is building the decentralized compute layer positioned to power and benefit from the AI economy ahead⚡️

AI inference is already live on UOMI Router. Access frontier open-source models through a decentralized inference network with: • Low-cost inference • OpenAI-compatible APIs • Verifiable compute • On-chain settlement Start building: And if you have idle GPUs, there's now a second way to participate. The UOMI Provider whitelist is officially open. Instead of letting your hardware sit unused, you can contribute GPU power to the UOMI Inference Network and earn from real AI demand. The chip shortage is structural, not a production issue, and tons of GPUs are sitting idle. Greg Osuri 🇺🇸, Founder of Akash Network, tells Remy Blaire the network connects that idle compute to a grid, turning it into a liquid, tradable market.

Testing image-to-CAD for SR Platform on a new set of GPUs 🔥 We are working with lium.io (SN51) to showcase the efficiency of decentralized compute for SR Platform — from CAD generation to RL training and sim-to-real validation What it means: > Flexible, on-demand rental for us. Pay with crypto. > Diverse GPU options, powered by Openτensor Foundaτion's incentive alignment. > Lower equipment cost → higher margin for the network. Onchain robots, onchain compute.

“TAO changed my life as a builder.” on why BitTensor is gives builders an unfair advantage. Instead of begging for hiring, compute, and distribution, you plug into a network where incentives recruit the people, and people compete to give you the cheapest compute.

Billions of dollars in GPUs are sitting completely unused right now Greg Osuri, the founder of Akash, built the Airbnb of compute to put all those idle GPUs to work. "The Amazons, Googles of the world, they're like hotels, which are usually expensive.” "There is lots of compute that's unevenly distributed, owned by people, corporations, companies, that is supposedly dedicated only for them, but most of them don't use them."

A Reward Stream Layer captures protocol earnings, bridges them to Base, and MetaVaults diversify and compound them. All unified under one liquid token: $IDLE.

“There are more companies than ideas by quite a bit. Compute is large enough such that it's not obvious that you need that much more compute to prove some idea. AlexNet was built on 2 GPUs. The transformer was built on 8 to 64 GPUs. Which would be, what, 2 GPUs of today? You could argue that o1 reasoning was not the most compute heavy thing in the world. For research, you definitely need some amount of compute, but it's far from obvious that you need the absolutely largest amount of compute. If everyone is within the same paradigm, then compute becomes one of the big differentiators.” Ilya Sutskever

A decentralized AI compute play just outran 99% of the crypto market this month $AKT, the native token of Akash Network, is up 72% on the month and leading CoinMarketCap's Broad Market category despite a 12% pullback Saturday testing $0.595 support. The DePIN GPU marketplace lets users rent NVIDIA H100s for $1.49/hour vs $43K outright. Founder Greg Osuri presented at the Economist Impact AI Compute Summit in Amsterdam this week. Recent integrations with Venice ai and FLock io target decentralized AI inference, the same vertical NEAR and Sahara AI are also rotating into.

Elon Musk: Now we’re going to look at the computer for the Cybercab. The computer will be somewhat overspecified, but I think there’s a major opportunity here. Similar to Amazon Web Services, if the car is driving for 50 hours a week, that leaves more than 100 hours where the compute is sitting there unused. You could use that idle compute for distributed inference. If you have a fleet of 100 million vehicles, each with roughly a kilowatt of efficient inference compute, that’s about 100 GW of compute. That’s a massive amount of compute. And if it’s already there, you might as well use it. I think that makes a lot of sense. The autonomous future is here.
