❌🇩🇪 Almost all non-German speaking players are required to learn the language as part of the cultural integration. Here's an example of the German lesson videos Bayern used to make with the players. This one with Thiago Alcântara and Xabi Alonso.

That seems fair enough then But adding it as a clause and fine is shocking

You go to a country, you learn the language; this is not England where everybody talks whatever they like and Tevez and Costa left without knowing how to say Hello

When great minds like Thiago and Xabi commit to the language of the land, it speaks volumes of the culture within House Bayern. Craft on the pitch. Respect off it.

Yeah it’s cultural here. Kane has it, Davies too etc.

It’s part of the identity of FC Bayern and beneficial for the integration of the players, not only in the team, but with all staff members

Xabi probably spoke better German than the teacher by week 3. Thiago just smiled and nodded for 6 months then gave a Bavarian dialect press conference out of nowhere.

Becoming coach in Leverkusen Xabi spoke very good german, so good that even in this foreign language he remained the smart und respectful gentleman he is. Left a very good impression here.

It’s not just about football, it’s about culture, communication and belonging. If you want to play for Bayern, you adapt to Bayern.

How’s Harry Kane getting in with that?

It’s not just about talking to the press; it’s about commanding the pitch. In the Bundesliga, communication is key for tactical discipline.

Bayern makes players learn German — Thiago and Alonso in the lesson

So learning a language is now compulsory. Funny

Xabi is so beautiful we were robbed

@DeadlineDayLive

In Munich you need to have a minimum of A2 German to be a teacher at an international bilingual school. It's something that will happen in other part of the country too. Everybody should be given help with this. My friend from Lebanon received full help for cultural integration with free language courses. I had to pay hundreds of euros just to get my A1.

Germany and policy sha

@DeadlineDayLive Love how Bayern pushes cultural integration with German lessons for all non-German players! ❌🇩🇪 Remember Thiago and Xabi's hilarious class? 😂 What's the funniest player adaptation story you've heard from other clubs? #BayernMunich #FootballCulture

That is fun to see and good aswell

I need this in my life rn

This is very common in other countries as well. Most Dutch clubs require players to learn the language as part of their contract.

“Warum schießts du so stark?” “Weil ich nicht schnell laufen kann “😂

Boey and Ito definitely know the first sentence.

💀

@knittykittywk

Alcântara's German is much better than Alonso's.

@kamutasa97

I think the cultural integration makes complete sense

I’m wondering, do the refs in Germany only do so in German or do they translate to English when necessary? Are UCL games all English or do the refs need to know Spanish/Italian/German?

Good idea

@naamaco3 קיבלת כבר פניות מהבונדסליגה?

All for it. You want to work in another country, you should learn the language and culture.

Ya podrían aplicar esa regla a todos los árabes que llegan, tócate los huevos
