Australian's would rather invest in a property bubble rather than invest in local companies to develop these resources, without the foreigners they'd still be in the ground. We also don't invest in downstream processing, so no value add, no opportunity for more complex manufacturing.

The quickest way to swing this in aussies' benefit is to vote the duopoly politicians out. Both blue and reds are supporting multinationals. The tier-1 consultants who sold tax secrets and backdoors to the multinationals were not prosecuted either. Shame!
