I see people in the comments trying to make comparisons between Rudeus and Arthur, and it’s hilarious. The TBATE fans forget that their main character was a king in his past life who committed genocide on the regular, which doesn’t compare to Rudeus, who was/is just a pervert. I’ve read 11 out of 12 WN volumes of TBATE, and it’ll never come close to MT, in my opinion.

According to the author of TBATE, he was heavily inspired by Mushoku Tensei's isekai premise, so it's not a direct copy. The protagonist is definitely better than Rudeus by a mile. The only problem is the studio fucked the author and gave us the ugliest-looking baby design yet.

If only some good animation studio would have picked up The Beginning After the End instead of studio A-CAT. The source material is good but that animation is just horrendous.

Keep in mind. Rudeus was an adult man in a world similar to ours. Arthur/Note was effectively a Warlord in a pseudo futuristic world. Where he wanted to learn what it meant to have family.
