I hate when pundits come on and speak without doing their research. Sturridge is totally forgetting Chelsea has Palestra when he says we don’t have a natural right wing back.

Absolutely embarrassing from Sturridge, you would think when you’re getting paid to talk about football you would at least do your homework, Chelsea literally have one of the best RWB’s in Europe, who was in Italy last week collecting his defender of the year award. 🤦♂️

They don’t do their research - Palestra just won player of the season in Italy.. as a RWB

The formation might be flexible, but asking a right-back to play wing-back still changes the whole balance on that side.

I need to see @Carra23 coach a club It's always his mouth doing the business for him, someone that's not even up to the standards of Arnold as a legend they claim he his

We need to rethink this formation thing before it comes back to bite us! Against any good teams we cannot afford not to have or compete for possession. We did it against @Arsenal yesterday and suffered for it. It cannot repeat itself else we'll suffer again

carra acting like wing-backs are a human rights issue because someone had to play out of position again

that’s football, innit. stick a lad at wing-back and act surprised when he looks like he’s been dragged off a night bus to Crewe. higher leagues love a system until the poor sod has to run it.

First of all Chelsea has to realize that Reece James is not God who can play any position, they play him as full back, wing back, center back, center midfielder. He is not that good !

Wait till palestra and pep starts together as wing backs

Bunch of inexperienced armchair experts 🤷♂️🙄

positions are just suggestions for him

2027 please come Quick 🙏

I can see botth sides of the argument. Alonso clearly has his ideas but playing someone out of position can be risky, especially against top teams. It'll be interesting to see if he sticks with it. 👀⚽️

right-wing-back as a job description is just football's way of admitting nobody's settled on a plan yet

Ignoring the blatant fouls and red cards consistently not given to Arsenal is a bias of Skysports media being missold to subscribers who are just looking for objective fairness in the football game they watch. We don’t pay 💰 for anti Chelsea sports bias and propaganda

Yes Alonso have to be playing barco

Not their natural position!!! Any club that pays you £200.000 - £300.000 a week you should be able to play any position.

Call the inconsistent ref and stop mentioning xavi Alonso name please

We literally bought palestra. Rwb / rb that won defender of year in serie a. The lack on knowledge on live tv is poor

Is this not why got Palestra and Chavarria? Give it some time

if your whole system needs a right wing-back emergency kit, maybe it is about formation after all

carragher has a point but formations only matter if players understand the role not just the position
