I have to be honest—Elon Musk can be a bit annoying sometimes. But Neuralink gives me hope. It’s inspiring to see what they are working on and how it could help people improve their lives. I truly hope their intentions are genuine and not driven by hidden financial motives. I still dream that Neuralink could one day help with conditions like schizophrenia, dementia, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s. As someone who is personally affected by schizophrenia, this gives me a sense of hope for the future.

If brain-computer interfaces reach stability and scale, this could become one of the most important applications of AI and hardware combined

Could this be adapted for non-speaking persons ("non-verbal") with disabilities who have some receptive language ability, but struggle with expressive language and the current range of available assistive devices? The apps for iPads are not that user friendly.

Wow.. Some people just can’t understand how amazing this is, unless/until, (hopefully never), they or someone they love is diagnosed with a progressive neurodegenerative disease……..: @grok could neuralink help people with spinal cord injuries, as well?

This is the kind of outcome that matters most. For someone gradually losing such a fundamental human function, regaining communication through thought alone is profound. These patient stories show Neuralink delivering real medical impact in its early trials.

Now that is the kind of tech that actually earns respect, not hype tweets, not valuation flexes, real impact, taking someone who lost their voice and giving them a shot at speaking again straight from their thoughts, that’s borderline sci-fi turned into reality, and yeah it sounds insane, brain signals getting decoded into speech, but if it works even halfway it’s a game changer for people with ALS and similar conditions, that’s independence, dignity, control coming back, not just convenience, and while everyone’s busy arguing about AI taking jobs this is the flip side, tech giving people pieces of their life back they thought were gone forever, and you can clown Musk all day for his wild ideas but when something like this hits, you gotta admit, that’s real progress, not noise.
