Also, as terrifying as the BTs can be, I'll admit, the thing that got me most nervous when I first came across it was a massive dust storm (gotta see it on a big screen to feel its scale). The visuals in Death Stranding 2 are amazing.

Playing Death Stranding 2 again and just in awe of its beauty. Seeing the Plate Gate that connects Mexico to Australia for the second time was just as stunning as first and I can't think of many games that make me feel Kojima Kantoku's unique mix of grandeur and strangeness.

Alina Lopez opens up about the massive culture shock and excitement of driving a beat-up Honda Accord to LA for her very first scene. "I was so nervous in the makeup chair... I was like 'Oh my gosh, I'm really doing this.' I was scared or whatever. And then as soon as that camera started rolling, I was like: 'this is where I'm meant to be, right here on this couch.'" She didn't hold back on the details of the culture shock, either. "It was a boy/girl, and it was a Black guy. It was also the first time I'd ever fed a Black guy. All of this is so new and exciting... I got this big black c, and I'm shooting p*rn, and I'm in LA. It was like the biggest adventure of my life." To this day, she hasn't forgotten how it all started. "Sometimes when I'm doing that drive to LA from Utah, I'll have a flashback of the first time I drove out in my 2001 Honda Accord that could like barely make it."

To be honest I feel kinda sad that I never got to see Ryu Nakayama's unfiltered vision on the big screen. Maybe it could have looked a lot similar to the pre-animated chainsaw man trailer.

It’s hard to believe but at that point I’d never seen that movie. I’ve subsequently seen it and the only thing that’s comparable to me is that it’s on the road and the two people who don’t particularly like each other fall in love. The only thing that I ever shoot for is to try to be as good as I can be at the time. You may look back on something you’ve done ten, twelve years ago and say, “Well, that’s not as good as I can do now.” And it’s really irrelevant. The only thing you can go by is whether this as good as you can do at the time you’re doing it. And I felt when I finished 'The Sure Thing', it was as good as I could do at that time." A milestone for me that’s been 22 years in the making. Not gonna lie, felt good to see the 2 as the first number on the scale as opposed to a 3 that I’ve been accustomed to. Still have a ways to go, but given the longtime struggle with my weight I’ve dealt with, it was nice to see.
