There's no such thing as makoti in SA languages. In isiZulu it's malokazana, in Sesotho it's ngwetsi, period.

Guy is wearing a shirt, cross belts, trousers, underwear, shoes, socks, speaking English, on a smartphone, on social media. Eats with a spoon, drives a car on a tarred road, drinks tap water, flies on aeroplanes, watches TV, listens to radio but uMakoti is where he draws the line

True but unneccesary. There is a lot of things whites changed that we adopted and made it our culture. Not all can be changed. We bury on weekends, we did that to accomodate the whites. Culture evolves with times. The headscarf(doek) was worn to accomodate white women.
