For Solo stans‼️ (Orm) You don’t have to like her, but don’t hurt her. Don’t make her feel invisible. Don’t make her feel unloved. The number of times Orm has been ignored and disrespected is heartbreaking. I still remember when she struggled to understand Chinese during some events, when things weren’t translated and she just stood there, confused, trying to keep smiling. That lost look on her face? It haunts me. She’s done nothing but show love, support, and pure warmth to the people around her. She’s bubbly, energetic, and always trying to lift the mood. She gives so much of herself, and yet some people can’t even give her basic decency in return. It hurts. It genuinely hurts to see someone so kind be treated like they’re a background character in their own story. She deserves better. We see her. We love her. And we’ll always stand by her. (00k) You don’t have to be her fan, but don’t disrespect her. Don’t twist her intentions. Don’t turn her sincerity into something ugly. Don’t ignore her. It’s heartbreaking, please, she went through a lot already, be gentle to her. She’s a gentle soul, thoughtful, reserved, and deeply genuine. She gives pieces of herself in everything she does, whether it’s acting, singing, or just showing up for fans. She’s supportive and deeply connected to Orm, she cares a lot. She works hard and quietly endures so much behind the scenes, and still manages to stay kind, soft spoken, and grounded. (LingOrm) This is not a competition about who gets more hate. Pain is pain, and both of them have felt it. They’ve both been misunderstood, misjudged, mistreated, ignored and disrespected in different ways, but with the same heavy weight. They’re not perfect, they’re human. But they have done nothing to deserve the hate & disrespect they constantly receive. And just because one of them is hurting doesn’t mean the other isn’t. This isn’t a competition. At the very least, give them respect. You don’t have to love them, but you also don’t get to tear them down. If you only like one person, at least have some decency. We see them. We love them. We are proud of them and we will continue to stand by them. Always. And to solo fans who always blame us: We protect and love them equally. Don’t question that just because you don’t see it. Don’t blame us for things we didn’t do. Stop using every moment of discomfort & hate as an excuse to push people toward becoming solo fans. That’s not helping anyone, not Ling, not Orm, not the fandom. At the end of the day, they have each other. Through the noise, the hate, the chaos, they still look out for one another, support one another, and walk forward together. And we, the ones who truly love them both, will keep standing by them with the same unity. That’s the truth you have to swallow.

Nick Saban was asked a question after practice once. His response was 70 seconds of gold on what it takes to be successful in life. Here’s Saban on the Illusion of Choice: “These guys, they all think they have this illusion of choice. Like I can do whatever I want to do. “You have a younger generation now that doesn’t always get told no. They don’t get told this is exactly how you need to do it. So they have this illusion that they have all these choices. “But the fact of the matter is, if you want to be good you don’t really have a lot of choices. It takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful. “You have to make the choices and decisions to have the discipline and the focus to the process of what you need to do to accomplish your goals. “All these guys that think they have a lot of choices are sadly mistaken. As we all have done with our own children, they learn these lessons of life as they get older. “Sometimes the best way to learn is from the mistakes you make, even though we all hate to see them have to make them, and we don’t condone it when they do.” – I’ve studied Saban for 12+ years, and the Illusion of Choice is one of the most powerful concepts I’ve come across. Some key takeaways: 1. Excellence has a price. We can complain about that, but it’s a fact of life. 2. Most people don’t want to pay that price. They just haven’t admitted it to themselves. 3. Saying you want to be excellent is easy. Becoming excellent is hard. 4. There may not be one way to become great, but there are very few. And they all have discipline and consistency in common. 5. Every action we take is a choice. We’re choosing to make progress, or we’re not. 6. The formula for becoming successful: Your Daily Choices x Time. It’s simple, but we make it complicated. 7. Sometimes we learn more by making the wrong choices. Reflect on them, pull out the lessons and move on. 8. You have to choose what you do every day. Don’t follow your feelings. Choose to do what will make you better. 9. There are no long-term hacks. It takes what it takes. ||| Hope this is helpful. Follow me Teddy Mitrosilis for more writing.
