I feel terrible for some of these Uber drivers. This is why you can't get an Uber in hood. You get people that act like this and put this Uber driver though all this stress and drama. Credit to this Uber driver for not backing down. No surprise that immediately the threat of harm or car jacking comes into play. But the Uber driver was sharp enough to remind him that all of his personal information has already been shared with Uber when he opened his account. Getting that info to the police would be a snap. Sure mad the thug think twice about doing anything.

🇪🇸 This is pure insanity. A hardworking man in Spain finishes a 13-hour shift, comes home… and finds squatters have taken over his house. When he tries to get back into his own property, the police threaten to arrest him. He still has to pay the mortgage, the utilities, and even cover the squatters’ needs , while the law protects the people who broke in. This is what happens when a legal system puts the rights of illegal occupiers above the rights of the people who actually work, pay taxes, and own the property. Property rights mean nothing if the state refuses to defend them. Spain’s “okupa” laws are a complete failure. And the same soft approach is creeping across Europe. Hardworking citizens should never fear being treated like criminals for defending their own home.

You don't always get to hear or see some of the great things officers do on a daily basis, so I'm happy when I can share examples. Meet Corporal Willoughby of the Miami Township police. He responded to a 911 call from a distressed mother whose breast milk had dried up, leaving her unable to feed her one-week-old baby at 2:00 Am. Jumping into action, he hit up the local Meijers to see if he can get help. The Extra Effort: Willoughby used his flashlight to get the attention of employees inside the closed store. The "Dad" Moment: Being a father of two himself, you can see him in the video trying to navigate the baby aisle, admittedly a bit "stumped" by the different types of formula before a store worker stepped in to help him choose the right one. Refusing Payment: When he delivered the formula and bottles, the mother tried to pay him back, but he refused the money. Thank you to Jesse Michels for shining light into my compatriot's work: Dr. Jacobo Grinberg. A cold case that will hopefully get solved at some point. When I started Psicoactivo Podcast, one of my goals was always to give this case more visibility because I consider it one of the most important in the history of parapsychology. The following explanation is about the experiment he was running at the time of his disappearance. I think about this twice a day. Every morning when I sit down to read & again when I begin to work, I say to myself, “Accept the initial agitation.” When you try to focus, Andrew Huberman explains, “the brain circuits that turn on first are of the stress system.” Meaning: “The agitation and stress that you feel at the beginning of something—when you’re trying to lean into it and you can’t focus: you feel agitated and your mind’s jumping all over the place—that is just a gate. You have to pass through that gate to get to the focus component.” There’s a common misconception, Andrew D. Huberman, Ph.D. continues: “the misunderstanding around how these brain circuits work has led to this idea...a kind of obsession with the idea that we have to feel good in order to be productive.” “And nothing could be further from the truth.” The truth is it’s the reverse: we have to be productive—we have to start working, we have to lean in and get going, accepting the initial agitation—in order to feel good. His gratitude, our gratitude, cannot ever be underestimated, all of us are grateful for your support for him during the last seven months. It's not been an easy ride. It has been a time of serious concern for his physical and mental wellbeing. Tommy will be released from prison soon. Despite various posts online suggesting the date and time of his release we can confirm that NOTHING has been set in stone on either of those points just yet. Tembo knows how to make a splash! In case you missed the news, ex-orphan Tumaren has given birth to a beautiful baby boy. When he was just a day old, Tembo took a tumble into the water trough outside the Ithumba stockades. Tumaren and her friends would have been able to extricate him, but our team wanted to spare the first-time mum unnecessary stress. So, Head Keeper Benjamin and Keeper Lekoli waded right in, while the rest of the team kept the worried elephants at bay. Tumaren and co. were very agitated, but they knew that help had arrived and let the Keepers get to work. You can hear them vocalising their anxiety, stress and excitement, and demonstrating this by their restlessness, flapping of the ears, trumpeting, high carriage of the tail and temporal gland secretions. Their stress subsides when they realise that Tembo is out of danger, and although they are all keen to be close to the action, there is never any threat behaviour towards the Keepers who they clearly understand are there to help their precious little baby.
