Always loved these topographic maps and wanted to create something similar with Three.js. 3 hours in Claude Code with Fable.

Try it here: Will post repo link in a bit.

this terrain look sick! can I steal those and add to my city terrain:

its just based on noise

is it using perlin noise?

Multiple layers

I am building a game on this idea

nice!

Would love if you share the github for this.

Add a custom LUT and some subtle nods and it’s AppleTV - Foundation the series worthy.. Also GMunk/MN8/Prologue Films .. Nice!

you mean you couldn't "one shot" this? NGMI... JK! This looks super awesome btw. What was the part that took you the longest? Are you using real topographical data btw?

topographic data is the hard part tho. where'd you source the elevation mesh from, and did you bake the lighting in or do real-time shading? curious how claude code handled the geometry pipeline

It's just noise based, not real data.

Three hours is wild. The vibe coding speedup is real, especially for visual stuff like terrain gen. Love seeing that kind of rapid prototyping flow.

You can create in 10 minutes with world machine and others 10 minutes in ue5 to recreate that effect

Great!

omg this is sooo good, pls upload it on GitHub 😭

insane

Thanks man!

@nptacek Link bro

that's amazing work

Thanks!

Amazing 👏🏻☺️

Thanks Anderson!

Thank God, I can see such outstanding works shared by such excellent people. As a fool like me, the only thing I can do is copy, like, and share.

Just trying to have fun

Oh my god, this perfectly matches my visual perception of a true strategy game

@threejs Awesome! Working on something similar for a website.

멋지네요👍

I want that 🥹

So good

Reminds me of the game Frostpunk

Three hours from idea to this is the new normal that still does not feel normal. The interesting part is what got compressed: not the Three.js code, the twenty reference-hunting detours that used to precede it.

tidy. id love to see the code output for this. ai had zero value to me as a one shot scenario but for building extensible components that fit my eco system , much more so I have too many questions though. what generates the terrain data? gpu, js on canvas, how long does gen take?

Check the repo and live link in my other tweet

Three.js heightmaps are fun, tried similar with lidar data.

Velocity like this only appears once the agent owns the full local dev loop including build and preview. Most people are still treating it as a smarter autocomplete.

haven't seen anyone try to merge visual design with LLMs yet, that's a fascinating space to explore.

This looks so cool!

Thanks!

This is beautiful bro

love it. mesmerizing. thanks for sharing.

Thanks Matteo!

That ripple effect looks so cool

Yep that was the last touch.

How much did it cost ?

No idea, on tha max sub

insane 🔥

gpt 5.6 will never build like this..

So nice

Genuine question, no shade-throwing: how much of the internals do you know/understand? Comprehension debt is a real concern I have, especially for anything requiring long-term maintenance. Vibe coded event info page, microsite, or wedding site? Yeah, vibe away. (super cool btw!)

I was coding before AI and have done a few things in threejs so know the basics.

That helps a lot, both with guidance / output and actual code comprehension. Bravo again on the great work 👏
