The LP associate removes the pre packaged food and let's the man go keeping the hot food and just taking his picture. They take the picture so they can kick him out should he try to come back to the store again. Having worked LP many years ago in the past the fact that he decided to let the man keep the hot food is very interesting to me as we would never allow them to keep anything and we had every shoplifter arrested. Being this man homeless, is it the right thing to do to let him go with some food or should he have had him arrested and take away all he products he tried to steal? Did he create a monster by giving this guy the impression that if he comes back he will get to keep the hot food?
