“Given” is the key word in this statement. The reason you can serve veterans is because of DONATIONS. And the facilities you “serve homeless” at are also paid for by DONORS. Stop trying to down play another person’s contributions because they are black and have ideals different than yours. And because you were willing to go be a robot for the American system. I’m very happy my father who fought in WW2 stopped me from joining the marines just before 9/11 to give my life for a country that was never meant for me. And while your family came home to fan fire and money he came home to getting spat on and NOT receiving his GI benefits like his white counterparts and couldn’t even eat a damn meal in a restaurant. The reason I serve Veterans is because of donations we make personally. My husband and I are business owners. I proudly served with many black Veterans. That’s the one place we never made things about race. We had each others back. We all bleed red. Shaq came to one of my Youth hockey games when I was young. Super cool experience. Before our game he was playing video games in the polar ice arcade game floor with all the kids. Was a really cool experience. Was like shaking hands with a diesel truck haha.

I remember when I was little girl, my Dad was early in his military career, we lived a very simple life. That taught me to work hard and always give back.

I see Shaq regularly letting dozens of fans take selfies with him at the Paris Hotel Las Vegas. He just doesn't say no. The fans don't stop coming up to him. It's like a stream. I never approached him because I feel bad for the guy. He has a heart of Gold.

Shaq has a home in my town of lafayette, la and its where he lived during his college days at lsu. Hes always seen around town and super sweet. He donated a gym a few years ago to a local highschool. When he got his first big check he bought all his close friends brand new BMWs
