If count is very high, you can profitably split tens against a 6, but NEVER against a 7 to A.

The one time it isn't a joke: dealer showing 5 or 6 with a true count of +6 or better, splitting 10s is genuinely +EV. Every other time you're taking a 20, the second-best hand in the game, and turning it into two mediocre ones. Pit boss loves you either way.
