Jeff Bezos just described AI in three words that make most of the economy temporary. Bezos: “AI is real and it is going to change every industry. In fact it’s a very unusual technology in that regard in that it’s a horizontal enabling layer.” Horizontal enabling layer. Not a product. Not a platform. Not a feature. A layer. Underneath everything. Everyone is asking which AI company wins. Bezos is telling you that is the wrong question entirely. A horizontal layer does not produce winners. It produces a new floor. Everything standing on the old one either gets rebuilt or gets erased. This has happened exactly twice in modern history. Electricity. The internet. Both times the same pattern. Not because Europe earned it. His words were blunt. He said America was not treated well after taking action in Iran. Then he dropped the line that should be on every front page. "We don't need anybody's help." Read that twice. The most powerful nation on earth stood alone and did not even blink. Meanwhile the so called allies folded like lawn chairs. Trump named names. Italy said no. Germany said no. France said no. Even the UK tried to hedge, offering help only after the fight was already over. That is not an ally. That is a fair weather friend showing up for the parade after the war is won. For decades America has poured trillions into NATO. Trillions. To protect European borders from threats that never once crossed our own ocean. And when we finally needed a hand, the cupboard was empty. Trump said it best. "Why are we spending hundreds of billions of dollars and they're not there for us? We've always been there for them." That is not isolationism. That is basic fairness. The CM extended a handshake. I am truly amazed by the patience and discipline of KCR. Just last week, CM Revanth Reddy spoke most disgustingly (though not the first time) about KCR…the man who achieved Telangana after a prolonged fight. Whenever CM Revanth spoke about KCR, he neither gave respect to the age nor to the person who was the reason for a separate Telangana state. He relentlessly wished for his death and continues to do so. It takes a lot of patience to put up with all the mudslinging, yet respect the CM’s chair. PS: I would never do that. 3 Safety critical interventions in a 6-mile round trip to the post office tonight with FSD 13.2.9. That’s 2 miles per critical intervention: 1. Goes right through a stop sign shown on map and visualization. See below. 2. At the intersection just past the stop sign, it did not yield right-of-way to oncoming traffic going straight as it was turning left. I had to emergency brake to prevent a collision. Reported. 3. After stopping and waiting at a stoplight appropriately, all of a sudden it accelerated through the stoplight for no apparent reason.
