Again… don’t be a dumbass and do stupid shit like this fool just for clicks and attention. Josh West intentionally grabbed and pulled on the steering wheel of a Tesla Robotaxi during a ride to see what would happen. He did it multiple times from the backseat. The Robotaxi responded by braking, giving safety alerts, and contacting support. He also unbuckled his seatbelt while the vehicle was moving and, after the ride, put one of his own stickers on the Robotaxi. The Tesla team reviewed the trip, cited safety violations and property damage, and suspended his Robotaxi access. Then he turned around and made a video titled “I Got BANNED From The Tesla Robotaxi Network… So You Don’t Have To!” No… You didn’t do this “so we don’t have to.” Nobody needed you to grab the steering wheel of an unsupervised Robotaxi. Nobody needed you to intentionally trigger its safety systems. Nobody needed you to put your sticker on a vehicle that doesn’t belong to you. You did it for content. And this is exactly the kind of stupid shit that pisses me, many investors, and many hardworking employees on the Tesla team off. The Tesla team has spent YEARS working their asses off to make unsupervised Robotaxis a reality. Engineers have dedicated countless hours to building, testing, and improving this technology while Tesla fights through regulatory scrutiny and proves the system can safely scale. Then a fool gets access and intentionally fucks with the vehicle for a YouTube video. Think about how selfish that is. Millions of people are waiting for this technology to expand. Tesla employees have spent years of their lives working to get it this far. The last thing the program needs is some attention seeker intentionally creating safety incidents for clicks. If you’re lucky enough to get access to a Tesla Robotaxi, respect the fucking technology, respect the vehicle, and respect the people who spent years building it. Sit down and buckle up. Keep your hands off the steering wheel. Don’t put or do shit on a car that isn’t yours. And enjoy the fucking ride. It really shouldn’t be that difficult. The Tesla team has worked too damn hard to get to this point for fools chasing YouTube views to jeopardize it for everyone else. Don’t be like this fool.

Recently Ross Gerber mentioned that it will be impossible for Tesla to scale quickly with their Robotaxi plans because they have yet to build any infrastructure as similar to Waymo. I am willing to bet a generous amount of money that Tesla is well aware of Waymo’s infrastructure and their struggles to efficiently manage their fleet. Tesla does not have $15 billion of excess Capital to waste each year on a copycat Fleet management process. Nor would they spend it if they had an additional $100 billion in excess capital. After validating each geographical map area, Tesla will sell Robotaxis to individual buyers, it’s possible that there will be an up fitting process to enter your own Tesla into the Robotaxi fleet. Tesla will sell cybercabs to individuals and fleets that can come online anytime the owner decides. There is no alternative viable method to saturate the market. Tesla is not going to purchase 100 separate properties in Los Angeles and pay minimum wage workers to clean puke out of vehicles. It’s not going to happen. Tesla is going to take the high margin SAS profits and determine the appropriate costs per mile breakdown to make a viable business model for vehicle owners. Coming soon- The Shepherd Model by Tesla. As mentioned many times before, The process to develop a nationwide network of fleet owners and shepherds is the foundation to also handle the deployment of Optimus robots for temporary gigs, part-time work, and generally cool shit. Optimus robots will be serving food at a wedding near you in the year 2030. How do you think they will get there? Who do you think is going to own them? Who do you think is going to fix them? Sitting here watching my Cybertruck charge with the mountains of Utah in the background, it hit me again… I really believe this is the most beautiful Tesla ever made. Every angle is different. It looks futuristic without trying too hard, and it fits just as well in the middle of a city as it does surrounded by nature like this. What makes this truck special is so much more than just the stainless steel or design. For me it’s how capable and practical it is. Long road trips, hauling gear, camping, tough weather, and FSD… it feels like THE one vehicle built to do almost everything. I’ve owned and driven many Teslas over the years, and every one has been amazing in their own unique way, but the Cybertruck is the first one that genuinely makes me stop and look back every time I park it. Driving across the U.S. in this beast has only reinforced that feeling. And to me, the Cybertruck is the best vehicle Tesla has ever built.

Truly disappointed with FSD after tonight. Tesla needs to do everything in their power to get people off factory branch software. Gets halfway through an intersection only to slam on the brakes. If I were a new Tesla owner I would never touch this tech again. This is fixable. Every single new vehicle needs to be on the latest builds to ensure they have the best experience possible. I will not be continuing my subscription and will consider again once they decide to get me off the factory branch/FSD 14.2.2.5

At the point I don't even care anymore. FSD is too safe to not allow the user to allow 1 mph rolling stops. I obviously know the law - but the user/supervisor/person responsible for vehicle should be able to allow via an toggle-able OPTION. We can select Mad Max and go 85 in a 55 but cannot select rolling stops to blend in - which saves almost 3 seconds to go from 10mph to "stop" to 10mph??? This is actually probably a piece of increasing take rate. It's too brutal right now to use FSD around others daily. 99.5% of drivers roll stop signs per Tesla. (Not: I accelerated manually in top video in FSD when I "felt" I was not moving) Tesla AI

This what the new Model Y's Matrix LED headlights will be able to do in a couple months via a new adaptive beam feature. This feature will automatically dim/adjust specific sections of the headlights to prevent blinding oncoming drivers and drivers in front of you, all while keeping the surrounding areas brightly lit. Older Teslas in the US with Matrix LEDs headlights will also get this functionality via a software update. The adaptive beam feature on Teslas hasn't been allowed in the US, which is why despite Tesla putting Matrix LEDs in many of their cars in the US for years, Tesla hasn't been able to enable this feature. Now the company is finally getting the certifications. Countries in Europe have had this feature for a little while.

Zoox (owned by Amazon) is now testing Robotaxi rides to and from the Las Vegas International Airport. For employees only initially, but will expand to the public in the relatively near future. I'm curious to see what airport rides are like in this vehicle, because when I rode in it last September, I didn't feel the cabin would be good for luggage. There isn't a dedicated storage area like Tesla and Waymo have, which is why I felt the vehicle would be best for passenger only rides, but I guess if the luggage is small it'll be fine.
