let’s start where this actually lives, not where you want it to live. with the math. the last three weeks of dynamite: 👉 765k 👉 730k 👉 654k that is not a ramp. that is not momentum. that is not “heating up” into a conversion window. that is a decline into it. you are looking at a -111k drop in two weeks, roughly 14–15% contraction from the high to the low, at the exact point where a traditional ppv cycle should be stabilizing or expanding. instead, you have compression. average those three weeks and you land at roughly ~716k linear viewers. that is your real, observable, measurable audience. not hypothetical reach not cumulative impressions not social engagement proxies actual people sitting down and watching the show in the time slot that matters for conversion. i’ve already laid out in detail what the max numbers actually represent and how simulcast behavior works, so i’m not going to re-litigate all of that here. but it matters enough to say again clearly: max is not a second audience at scale. it is a distribution extension that splits the same audience. it does not double your reach. it does not materially expand your funnel. it shifts a portion of existing behavior from one pipe to another. the short version is already established: 👉 max is not additive at scale 👉 max is a split of the same audience 👉 max realistically contributes ~50k–150k, ~75k center so your total reachable audience on a good night is: 👉 ~790k–800k all-in that’s the funnel. that’s the ceiling. that’s the number you are working from. that’s the universe that can possibly convert into a paid transaction. not hypothetical not inflated not “what if” that is the real audience number. now take the number dave is floating: 👉 ~143k ppv buys run the only equation that matters: 👉 143k ÷ 800k = ~17.9% conversion stop there for a second Dave Meltzer is unironically asserting that nearly 1 out of every 5 viewers is converting into a $40–$50 transaction in 2026 in a market with: – no centralized ppv infrastructure – subscription-first behavior – widespread piracy – fragmented pricing (domestic, max discount, vpn international) – a declining weekly audience trend that is the claim. not “strong performance.” not “better than expected.” not “up year over year.” the claim is nearly 1 in 5 viewers converting into a $40–$50 transaction in 2026. this is where the conversation should end, because that number does not exist anywhere in modern media behavior. it doesn’t exist in boxing. it doesn’t exist in ufc. it doesn’t exist in any scaled transactional model operating in the current environment. and more importantly, it didn’t exist consistently even when the infrastructure supporting it was intact. again, this is the part people either don’t understand or choose to ignore: ppv is not just a pricing model. it is an infrastructure model. and that infrastructure is gone. for decades, the backbone of ppv was inDemand. that system wasn’t just pushing content out to cable homes. it was aggregating buys, standardizing reporting, and creating a reconciliation layer that allowed promoters, distributors, and networks to operate off the same dataset. if you were serious about this business, you could triangulate numbers. you could get within a narrow band of reality because the pipes were real and the accounting was shared. that system shut down in 2025. 👉 143k ppv buys is not an aggressive take 👉 it is not an optimistic take 👉 it is a structurally impossible take because we know what real conversion looks like. we do not need to guess. it has been modeled across combat sports, boxing, ufc, and multiple transactional platforms. the ranges are stable: 👉 1–3% → normal 👉 3–5% → strong 👉 5%+ → elite and rare, reserved for events with massive cultural heat and crossover appeal those ranges were established when the infrastructure was intact, pricing was more controlled, piracy was less frictionless, and distribution was more centralized. today, every one of those conditions is worse. pricing is fragmented. you have $49.99 standard, $39.99 through max, international pricing accessible through vpn, and a piracy environment where high-quality streams are available instantly. that is a high-friction, high-leakage system. so conversion should compress, not expand. now apply real-world conversion to your real audience: 👉 800k × 2% = 16k buys 👉 800k × 3% = 24k buys 👉 800k × 5% = 40k buys that’s your range. 👉 ~15k–35k realistic 👉 ~20k–30k as the most defensible center 👉 ~40k reasonable given the strength of the headliners now invert the math, because this is where the claim completely collapses. if you want to justify 143k buys at even a healthy 3% conversion rate, you need roughly 4.7 million engaged viewers. so the question becomes extremely simple: where are the other four million people? TOPIC #118: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO GCV AMBASSADORS AND SPECIAL ENVOYS Conclusion of the Pioneer’s Handbook ( updater version) 2025 marks an extraordinary and historic moment in our shared journey for Pi Network and Global GCV Movement. They finally "married " together. From this moment forward, we officially enter a new chapter that I proudly name: The GCV Economy Era With this milestone, the Pioneer’s Handbook reaches its conclusion. This is my 118th article. In Chinese culture, 118 symbolizes prosperity and good fortune—a perfect symbol for closing one historic chapter and opening another. These final words are dedicated to all pioneers, merchants, ambassadors, envoys, and warriors whose unity, discipline, and perseverance made the GCV dream a reality. --- 1. The Origin of GCV — A Seed Planted in China The GCV Movement began in China, nurtured by pioneers with vision, courage, and deep study. In February 2022, Mr. Rong Zhang Bao launched the Pi Network International Seminar, calling pioneers to study Pi deeply, understand its mission, and define its economic value. After months of collective research and surveys, Chinese pioneers established the foundational consensus value: $314,159. In May 2022, Mr. Bao Rong Zhang and I, together with Nigerian pioneer Mr. Woody, launched three international Twitter Space conferences. Mr. Woody's influence helped introduce GCV to tens of thousands of pioneers worldwide, marking the true beginning of GCV's international journey. I would like to acknowledge Mr. Rong Zhang Bao, former community leader in China, as the founder of GCV, Mr. Woody Lightyear, former community leader in Nigeria, as a key supporter of GCV at early stage Their contributions during the early stages of GCV in 2022 were essential. The early path, however, was not easy. GCV faced misunderstandings, attacks, misinformation, and division. My speeches were removed from groups. Leaders became confused or misled. Some pioneers, lacking education, turned toward black markets. At that point, I made a deliberate decision: I stepped back from global expansion and devoted one full year exclusively to the China community. During that year, Chinese merchants contributed nearly USD 10 million worth of products through GCV barter. However, because pioneers had no Pi available in their wallets, many transactions relied on contracts without Pi or fiat settlement. This created no usable GCV data, and eventually many merchants—unable to sustain operations—left the movement. From this experience, one truth became clear: > Sustainability is essential. Passion alone is not enough. We must be rational, prepared, and educated. To succeed, we must: Use partial Pi + partial fiat Build education before expansion Protect merchants as carefully as pioneers If pioneers only demand from merchants, the economy cannot survive. If merchants collapse, GCV collapses. This realization is why I began writing the Pioneer’s Handbook—to align pioneers and merchants under one sustainable economic vision. --- 2. Expanding Beyond Borders — The Global Rise of GCV By 2023, it became clear that China alone could not generate sufficient global GCV data. GCV had to rise worldwide. TOPIC #118: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO GCV AMBASSADORS AND SPECIAL ENVOYS Conclusion of the Pioneer’s Handbook ( updater version) 2025 marks an extraordinary and historic moment in our shared journey for Pi Network and Global GCV Movement. They finally "married " together. From this moment forward, we officially enter a new chapter that I proudly name: The GCV Economy Era With this milestone, the Pioneer’s Handbook reaches its conclusion. This is my 118th article. In Chinese culture, 118 symbolizes prosperity and good fortune—a perfect symbol for closing one historic chapter and opening another. These final words are dedicated to all pioneers, merchants, ambassadors, envoys, and warriors whose unity, discipline, and perseverance made the GCV dream a reality. --- 1. The Origin of GCV — A Seed Planted in China The GCV Movement began in China, nurtured by pioneers with vision, courage, and deep study. In February 2022, Mr. Rong Zhang Bao launched the Pi Network International Seminar, calling pioneers to study Pi deeply, understand its mission, and define its economic value. After months of collective research and surveys, Chinese pioneers established the foundational consensus value: $314,159. In May 2022, Mr. Bao Rong Zhang and I, together with Nigerian pioneer Mr. Woody, launched three international Twitter Space conferences. Mr. Woody's influence helped introduce GCV to tens of thousands of pioneers worldwide, marking the true beginning of GCV's international journey. I would like to acknowledge Mr. Rong Zhang Bao, former community leader in China, as the founder of GCV, Mr. Woody Lightyear, former community leader in Nigeria, as a key supporter of GCV at early stage Their contributions during the early stages of GCV in 2022 were essential. The early path, however, was not easy. GCV faced misunderstandings, attacks, misinformation, and division. My speeches were removed from groups. Leaders became confused or misled. Some pioneers, lacking education, turned toward black markets. At that point, I made a deliberate decision: I stepped back from global expansion and devoted one full year exclusively to the China community. During that year, Chinese merchants contributed nearly USD 10 million worth of products through GCV barter. However, because pioneers had no Pi available in their wallets, many transactions relied on contracts without Pi or fiat settlement. This created no usable GCV data, and eventually many merchants—unable to sustain operations—left the movement. From this experience, one truth became clear: > Sustainability is essential. Passion alone is not enough. We must be rational, prepared, and educated. To succeed, we must: Use partial Pi + partial fiat Build education before expansion Protect merchants as carefully as pioneers If pioneers only demand from merchants, the economy cannot survive. If merchants collapse, GCV collapses. This realization is why I began writing the Pioneer’s Handbook—to align pioneers and merchants under one sustainable economic vision. --- 2. Expanding Beyond Borders — The Global Rise of GCV By 2023, it became clear that China alone could not generate sufficient global GCV data. GCV had to rise worldwide. One by one, visionary leaders emerged: Ms. Lumari Ms. Nonny Mr. JoJo Mr. M. Rad Mr. Olivier Mr. Iyanda Mr. Patrick Mr. Jason …and many others. Strong movements followed across the Philippines, Indonesia, Africa, the Arab Region, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, India, Bangladesh, South Korea, and throughout Africa and the Middle East. Many pioneers who doubted GCV did so not out of malice—but from lack of study or misunderstanding of economic authority. TOPIC #44: BUILDING MOMENTUM FOR PI NETWORK OM Today let's discuss "building momentum". Sun Tzu was a Chinese military general, strategist, philosopher, and writer who lived during the Eastern Zhou period. Sun Tzu is traditionally credited as the author of The Art of War, an influential work of military strategy that has affected both Western and East Asian philosophy and military thought. In his chapter "Momentum" of Sun Tzu "The Art of War" said: 👉"Thus, a good warrior seeks it in the situation, not in the person, so he can choose the person and take advantage of the situation. A warrior who takes advantage of the situation fights like turning wood or stone. The nature of wood or stone is that when it is at peace, it is still; when it is in danger, it moves; when it is square, it stops; when it is round, it moves. Therefore, a warrior's situation is like turning a round stone on a mountain thousands of feet high; this is the situation." 👉Meaning: People who are good at leading troops in battle always try to create a favorable situation, and do not demand perfection from their subordinates, so they can select talents to utilize and create a favorable situation. People who are good at utilizing the situation command the army to fight, just like rolling wood and stones. The characteristics of wood and stone are that they are still when placed in a flat and stable place, and they roll when placed in a steep and rugged place. Square things are easy to be still, and round things are flexible to roll. Therefore, the favorable situation created by people who are good at commanding battles is like rolling a round stone down from a mountain, which is the so-called "momentum" ✳️Let's discuss how we can begin building good momentum before OM. In order to use the situation to successfully build momentum for OM at GCV $314,159, we need to consider our current situation: 1. We can see that blockchain shows more big amount transfers on the blockchain, such as thousands and hundreds of Pi per transaction. This could be from ecosystem payments or black market sales, but most of the thousands or hundreds seem to come from black market policy violations. We also notice that the migration speed is generally much slower, averaging around a thousand per day. We did observe that CT can reach a speed of 60,000 wallets per day. Therefore, we can estimate that migration speed is related to black market activities. When there are more black market activities, there is a higher risk to the project and CT will be more conservative. Therefore, we should focus on community education. We have an International Telegram Group where you are welcome to invite your friends or any pioneers who have gotten lost to join in. 2. Now, GCV data is much lower than before as previously estimated. This is because most of the community has used up their resources and run out of money to provide full Pi payments. Even though we don't have much GCV data, GCV still holds significant value in the hearts of most pioneers. Therefore, we can say that GCV $314,159, the primary currency function "value scale," has been successfully completed. 3. Now, we must move on to the next step: allowing Pi GCV to circulate in the Pi community ecosystem. It's crucial that we only create GCV data and not other data. "The Art of War" Chapter" Momentum" told us how to do it. 👉We should carefully consider strategies to incentivize merchants to join our ecosystem and automatically transfer pioneer purchase habits within it so that GCV data will automatically created by normal business. Since Pi is not yet recognized as a legal form of payment by any government, we are currently in the "circulate tool" phase within the community. As such, it may not be feasible to require merchants to accept full Pi payments. Understanding the operational constraints faced by merchants in this regard is essential. Merchants need FIAT for bookkeeping, government taxes, employee wages, rent, materials, and utilities. They can only ensure the sustainability of their business by accepting Pi as profit. 👉In light of the widespread economic challenges, which have resulted in high unemployment rates and financial hardships for many, businesses are also finding it tough to sell products, particularly small and emerging businesses. To support these businesses, we could introduce a phased approach, allowing them to accept partial payments in both FIAT and Pi, and gradually transition to full Pi payments when OM. This approach will undoubtedly be beneficial for them, and could contribute to GCV data generation. 👉Similarly, for pioneers facing financial difficulties due to inflation and unemployment, the option to save money on essential expenses through a combination of partial Pi and FIAT payments would be welcomed. It's crucial to highlight the potential benefits and savings that could be achieved through this approach, contributing to the growth of GCV as well. 🙏Implementing a method aligned with these practices will serve to attract more merchants and pioneers to join our network. Furthermore, broadening our user base and promoting the use of Pi for transactions is pivotal for the success of our ecosystem. A warrior who takes advantage of the situation fights like turning wood or stone.
