Her points are valid but accountability exceeds everything. No one forces you to listen to certain music or eat a certain thing. Music station offer more than hip hop and grocery stores offer more than process food.

A 2017 Nielsen report found that white listeners were the majority of rap consumers in the U.S. so for me , it’s important to dead the issue of rap music hurting US. When for most of US it’s one of the alternative ways for our black youth to exit poverty.

She’s giving the media and corporations too much credit. My mom determined what I ate, listened to, and watched on tv. She wouldn’t let me eat Lucky Charms, Mountain Dew, or cheese stuffed pizza. I wasn’t allowed to watch rated R movies or listen to gangsta rap.

ALOT of people weren't around for the positive/conscious hip hop era. I was even though I was a grade school kid I remember. A negative image needed to be pushed so it was (Bush Sr.)

Music having that much of an influence is a myth. White people have a larger representation in the population and rap concerts look like it snowed outside and white men aren't less wealthy, strategic, or oppressive from listening to rap.
