I spent the day in the office yesterday and spent approx 90% of it in Teams calls with people who couldn’t be in the office as they were in different countries. The new norm seems to be to be presenteeism.

Working from home should be in EXCEPTIONAL circumstances … not the norm !!!

@BenMBoulos Teachers have been working from home, unpaid, since time immemorial! I s’pose what I’m getting at is that there’re jobs where wfh is impossible, but the paperwork arising from going into work is impossible to do unless taken home.

Having the option wfh helps, i do prefer to be in the office. I like to keep work and home completely separate. I feel less productive at home, as in my head, home is home, you're not meant to be working. But im saying this because i live on my own... 🤔

More businesses will follow suit.

Doctors need to be in the office 5 days a week. Like before the pandemic.

“The issue” Company tells staff it pays and employs to work at company office full time What issue ?

No one can honestly say they work as hard at home as they would in the office. I have done both and you just don’t work the same when you can pop and put the washing on, hang it out etc etc

Makes it easier for employers to downscale cost, buildings etc. Also helps them outsource jobs, even offshore jobs. Care needs to be taken by both workers and employers when agreeing WFH contracts. Productivity is not an issue, neither is collaboration. Thats all about control
