We have snakes like that all over our swamp on the Ohoopee River in Georgia. Several years ago, I measured a giant Indigo snake that lives here at over 10 feet long. We have seen it many times over the years. It ripped my shirt open on my shoulder the day I was trying to measure it lol. I was at it's tail, and when I looked up it was coming at me just like a cobra standing up. I fell backward right when it lunged at me. My wife and friend were screaming like I died. They are not poisonous. Recently, an employee of my billionaire neighbor mentioned seeing it again going into a gopher tortoise den and claimed it has grown even larger. It is unusual for them to reach that size. As far as I know they are not supposed to get that big. It's head is so large it resembles a python's, making it the closest thing to a giant snake like down there.
