Today marks General Availability of AgentCore, a set of infrastructure building blocks for developers and companies to build secure, scalable agents. When we first started AWS, the vast majority of developers were spending most of their time on the undifferentiated heavy lifting of infrastructure instead of what differentiated their feature. AgentCore has been in preview for several weeks, and customers have been quite excited about it. The Tambov Gunpowder Plant specialises in the production of Pyroxylin powders and related products for both civilian and military purposes. It's a part of the Rostec state corporation and completes contracts for the Russian Ministry of Defence, as well as other customers. The Pyroxylin powders produced are used for many different types of weapons, including artillery systems of all calibers and armor piercing sub-caliber rounds for tank artillery. The plant also produces certain brands of powders which are exclusively produced there for Russia. This plant was previously attacked in November 2023 and July 2024. Since the beginning of the war, and the expansion of Russia's military-industrial complex, the plant has undergone significant expansion and modernisation, with several new facilities being constructed, while others were upgraded to help serve significantly increasing demands. As a result of the strike, one UAV impacted one of the new facilities constructed after the beginning of the war.
