.Grandview Athletics's Madelyn Doty “Madi” is the best softball player in Texas. Doty is a power-hitting right-hander with an average over .500 this year, but her pitching is what makes her such a special talent. Doty's ERA is well under 1, and she has struck out over 1000 batters in her career. She helped lead the Zebras to back-to-back State Titles in 2025 and 2026. Madi is headed to play for Texas Softball next year and is our Parker University MVP.

He is made to jump up and down on the sidelines, which is likely making it even worse. Why ? Is it any wonder that we have such a huge injury list? Some will say he wanted to play on, but when you’re 2 up v 10 men with the worst injury crisis, you do what’s best for the player and squad. Thoughts ? #COYS 🤍💙

Your college stats, you’re playing against other college kids and most colleges, you know, you’re not going against top tier talent, you know, in your position itself, right? To me, this is hitting. Look at his approach. Adjustability. Short. Uses the whole field. Can also drive the ball. Hits the ball where it’s pitched. Tough out. We need way more of this in our game. Imagine a line up with 6 or 7 of these dudes! And two power bats (that swing and miss more often) but hit more long balls… now that is baseball. When I teach hitting to young players, this is more of my focus. Become a great hitter first and the power comes later… when you develop your man body.
