I don't usually correct you but this one needs it. America provides everyone an opportunity to be the best they can be, she doesn't "give" anyone anything. As a veteran, it gets under my skin to see the very flag we have bled and died for, that covers every casket of every fallen service member be defaced and burned, but our sacrifices especially those that have given the ultimate sacrifice was freely given so that these people can do what they are doing. Our country is one of freedom which includes expression and no matter how misguided it is, burning the flag is them exercising their freedom of expression. The problem we now face is that Americans have been fooled into believing they are supposed to be "given" things, and are "entitled" to things when the only thing that is promised is an opportunity to earn the life you want, opportunity to live free, and live the best life we can. America doesn't "give" us anything, she provides us with freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of opportunity to name a few, but never "given", because being "given" implies entitlement and that is not the same as opportunity or earning. God bless America!
