Black Americans have fought in every war this country has ever had. We even fought in the Civil War that ultimately secured our freedom. No nation is perfect, and every country has its flaws, but I still believe the United States is the greatest nation on Earth. There is no place I’d rather live. As someone born outside the United States, I have never seen America merely as another country. I have always seen it as a civilization built around opportunity. A place where talent matters. Where innovation is rewarded. Where risk is respected. Where people from every corner of the world can build something larger than themselves. Throughout my professional life, I have worked with American entrepreneurs, investors, universities, public officials, innovators, and communities. Every experience has reinforced one conviction: America’s greatest export has never been its military. It has never been Hollywood. It has never even been the dollar.
