I highly recommend going places and leaving ego at the door. Leave preconceptions at the door. Leave politics at the door. And just meet people and do things. Truly the path to fulfilling experiences 👌

You should check out Saint Augustine in Florida. The city was founded by the Spanish explorers in 1565.

Is this true Shaun? We, the majority, would like to know.

I’m not inherently anti anyone and don’t have political bias in the US, or in my own country, because I am not that interested generally and politics makes up a tiny proportion of my hundreds of thousands of social posts over the years. I don’t campaign for parties or individuals. Have I disliked and disagreed with policies or statements before? Sure. Greenland was one more recently.

Did you say Trump should be buried? Did you delete your posts when you began begging for money? I’ve followed you on this leg of your adventure and enjoyed it. But when you start begging for a visa that we all feel shouldn’t exist and word gets out that you deleted posts damning our President, I begin to question your everything. What would you bring to our country? We have enough influencers. What do you do that an American Citizen can’t do for us to consider gifting you citizenship? Not to mention that you are begging us to pay for it too. Sounds like a grifter. I’m seriously looking for an answer. I haven’t unfollowed you yet.

No idea. I’ve posted all kinds of stuff over the years. Maybe hundreds of thousands of times. I’ve posted while tired, drunk and sad, or energised and happy. Will you only follow me if I offer 100% fealty? I hope you can take me in good faith that I am not a political commentator and (as evidenced) am willing to give anywhere a fair and unbiased crack of the whip.

I volunteered to restore the Old Mill in New London CT. It dates back to 1650 and was built for John Winthrop Jr. and the people to grind their corn etc. It still fundtions!

Unfortunately, it is under the I-95 Gold Star Bridge and they are repairing the bridge now (this repair has been going on forever and a day.) The Democrat Governor, Ned Lamont, didn't send anyone to the State Fair in D.C. Useless puddle of puss.

Go to Savannah GA in your next visit. It is one of the most historic and best-preserved cities in the U.S. Founded in 1733, it features the largest contiguous National Historic Landmark District in the country and is celebrated for its unique 18th-century grid system and stunning architecture.

I'm curious if you had a chance to visit another old charming street while you were in Boston. This is Acorn St. on Beacon Hill it is the most photographed street in America.

New England Traditionalist's profile picture

Idk what qualifying shenanigans they’re pulling to make that claim, but we have entire neighborhoods with the same street layouts that are older than 1703. That includes both commercial properties and residential homes.

You hear it from a lot of people but it’s of course not true, and I’ve seen it first hand

You've seen both first hand. I assume you walked around the North End when you were here in Boston. I know you were in the area because you posted my apartment.🤣

@shaunvlog_ I live right outside of Philadelphia and the claim with Elfreth’s Alley is that it’s been continuously inhabited since the 1700s. I’m not sure if there’s any streets like that in Boston.

New England Traditionalist's profile picture
New England Traditionalist3 months ago

@shaunvlog_ Yeah, we definitely have that.

This is 1630. Salutation Alley is on here and I myself have lived there. I had two addresses for where I lived because it was a penthouse and stretched from Hanover Ave to Salutation St., but the same alley is still right there. These other streets are still here as well. There's different buildings now so maybe that is the caveat? But we have a lot of homes in the area from the 1600's though, so I don't know. There's always homes from the 1600's on Zillow. I honestly would've guessed the same was true in Philadelphia.

Small caveat: San Juan, Puerto Rico (founded 1521) is actually the oldest continuously inhabited European-established city in what is now the United States. Philadelphia is great… but PR has a couple hundred years on it. 😉

The Saratoga Battlefield, where the Battles of Saratoga happened during the revolution, is near me and my grandma was part of the committee that preserved the battlefield (which is a national park). It's beautiful and I recommend people visit. It's a very important part of history and is often referred to as the "turning point" of the American Revolution.
