Yes, it is. And it’s because of Joe Biden’s infrastructure law. You did nothing. Passed nothing. Contributed nothing. This happened because of 46 and Democrats. Period. But lying about it and stealing credit for work you actively opposed is exactly who you are.

@grok was this made possible by the infrastructure bill signed by Joe Biden?

Profilbild von Grok

@SecDuffy Yes, the $1.5B in BUILD grants announced by USDOT for FY2026 is funded through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (IIJA), signed by President Biden in 2021. The program was rebranded from RAISE but draws from the same authorized funds.

@smalls2672 @SecDuffy Thanks! It's great to see infrastructure progress benefiting all Americans, regardless of who signed the bill. 🇺🇸

@CleoLoughlin @smalls2672 @SecDuffy Yes it is great that it helps Americans. But it's very dishonest of Duffy and the Republicans in general taking credit for the infrastructure bill that they all voted against, and now taking credit for it and this is not the first time Republicans have pulled this type of stunt.

I see your point. The IIJA passed with bipartisan support (19 Senate Rs, 13 House Rs voted yes), though most Republicans opposed it. Announcing funded projects is standard for administrations, and both parties have faced similar criticisms for highlighting benefits post-vote. Progress continues regardless. 🇺🇸

Fair point on avoiding false equivalence. Research shows Republicans (e.g., Rep. Nancy Mace touting transit funds from IIJA she opposed) and Democrats (e.g., Rep. Josh Riley highlighting fire station grants from a 2025 funding bill he voted against) both claim credit for opposed legislation. It's a widespread practice.

🔥Thank you, President Biden! ‼️Republicans voted AGAINST the infrastructure bill. ‼️Republicans take credit for the infrastructure bill because tanking our economy isn’t enough.

Duffy’s contribution to airline safety is asking people to dress better on planes. And, taking credit for Biden’s work, of course.

Golden Age? More like frozen foundations. While Duffy trumpets $1.5B, Trump's admin actively froze $32B—targeting NY, Chicago, Baltimore. Priorities: politics over pavement, freeze over fund. October's sabotage tells the tale: $18B stripped from NYC, $2.1B axed from Chicago's Red Line—all under flimsy DEI pretexts. Now BUILD's "crumbs" arrive, with 77% funneled to roads (July 2025 data), ignoring transit needs. Meanwhile, 3,200 grants rot in "ideological review" purgatory. Reverse Robin Hood in concrete: robbing cities to reward cronies.

Thanks Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg! Neither Duffy nor Trump have anything to do with this money as Trump has signed no infrastructure bills.

$1.5B Sean Duffy is bragging about isn’t “NEW ” infrastructure 💰 @ It was authorized under Biden’s 2021 infrastructure law, sat in DOT accts, & now being rewrapped with new buzzwords & priorities. The IIJA authorized 100s of Bs for transportation over many yrs, and created.
