That’s a brutal real-world point: if the “required protocol” turns into a pharmacy bill the size of a mortgage and the herd is still getting hit, something in the system isn’t working. You can’t medicate your way out of a management problem forever. At minimum it screams for receipts and recalibration—track outcomes, tighten what’s actually necessary, and stop defaulting to blanket treatments that burn money without improving herd health. Healthy animals should be the KPI, not “we followed the checklist.”

@RobertKennedyJr Cattle farmers need to be interviewed in this regards. My father in law had 40 head of cattle back in the 1980's and all he had was penicillin for bag fever on a nursing cow. This is all about profit (big pharma) and destroying our food supply.
