American Muslims love creating unique ethnic combinations that have never existed anywhere else before. Interestingly this seems to be a unique cultural phenomenon in America and does not occur as much in other countries.

This is because the American Muslim community is the most ethnically diverse Muslim community on earth, which is its greatest strength, I think.

True but UK, Canada, Australia are also wildly diverse (France too though maybe to a lesser extent) but you don’t really see people mixing on the same scale. And obviously there’s a lot of diversity in some MENA and Southeast Asian countries but people tend to stick to each other. There is something unique about attitudes in America.

Oh definitely, I should have put an addendum that it’s not just the diversity in itself, but how America (for all its faults) creates unique opportunities for us to mix and mingle like this.

the first time I’ve seen/heard of mixed couples, interestingly were from the UK or elsewhere in Europe - half Japanese/pakistani, half Nigerian/Pakistani or Polish/Pakistani. I’ve personally found the US to have more of this diversity within the last 10-15 years lol
