I’m so sick of this “we” y’all keep using. “We” are not brainwashed. Black people been saying this is America’s issue from the beginning — because this language has been used as a weapon against us for centuries. We sounded the alarm on M*AG*A from the beginning. And, we voted to avoid everything that’s happening because Black people have never had the luxury of being single issue voters.

This is an essential component of maintaining that illusion of a democracy.

My least favorite is the boots on the ground. That one has pissed me off since the first time I heard replaces our sons faces as in the image of sending young men into a war in an image of GI boots with a rifle and a flag. A whole lot of the people I see beating the war drums have no kids or no sons or daughters in the military.

It’s same when the news pushes how Iranians say “Death To America” like they’re coming to hunt us down. But honestly, as much as our government has made them out to be such monsters and done such terrible things against them, I can’t even blame them.
