Durham Cathedral is one of the most beautiful in the world! 🤩 If you can, get the'sen to Alnwick Castle (one for Potter & Blackadder fans) & Barter Books, a fabulous bookshop in an old railway station, plus Chillingham Castle (as Eccentric Historical as they come 👻😂).

It’s also used for the scene where Thor and Rocket go back to Asgard to get the aether/ reality stone from Jane in Avengers End Game

My daughter had her 1st university graduation at York Minster & 2nd at Durham Cathedral (PGCE). Go to Alnwick castle. That is Hogwarts. I learn a lot off you and I live in Northumberland 😂

Great to see that. I can also recommend Salisbury Cathedral and Winchester Cathedral. Both probably more mind-blowing (especially Salisbury).

You may not have got there by train but to see the cathedral as you pull into Durham in all its glory up there on the hill is something else.
