Americans want a modernized, functioning immigration system that both secures the border and provides legal pathways for immigrants. As Republicans continue with their xenophobic language and political stunts, I’ll keep pushing for a fair system that actually works.

We want to stop importing foreign labor. It’s not racist to not want the labor market flooded to weaken Americans bargaining power.

Actually, they favor mass deportations as self-evident from Trump's election. Nice try though.

No we don't!!! What are you talking about??? The only fair system is to stop importing labor through foreign work visas, such as H-1B & others. We are fed up with American jobs going to foreigners. Legal or illegal. Period.

She’s just pushing for more Indians on H-1B and other visas. She’s India first and always will be. Folks, assimilation is a myth

We don't want criminals walking across our borders and living for free, what part of that do you not understand ?

I want the border closed and communists deported

I like my job and my family. Please don't let in immigrants that will take my job are they have taken so many others.

Look - Americans do not want their own livelihood or wellbeing to be jeopardized by immigration policy, period. That's it, and they are 100% entitled to that protection given it's THEIR COUNTRY. Americans shouldn't have to worry about foreign-labor related layoffs. Ever. Or having compete for jobs/promotions against someone who is effectively an indentured servant. A system "that works" is a system that will both prevent and reverse those things. A system that will address ALL the various ways immigration is currently being abused...not just H1B. We aren't stupid. We aren't blind. We know our goodwill as a country and people is being exploited - and our generosity is drying up. No matter what you say or what data you curate, we've had enough.

Americans want mass deportation and people committing treason to be held accountable.

Sorry, Rep Jayapal, we don't believe one word out of your mouth. You had your 3 terms w Obama.
