The MD made the correction decison to slow the tempo so she could catch the melody and she still was trying to sing the tempo of the recording. That is a hard song to sing live without a lot of practice. She is stacked vocally on it from start to finish.

I hate it when artists go on tiny desk with a full band. Completely missing the point of the set.
