A most scared CPIM had then an open diktat to not let RSS grow here at any cost. 26 years later— BJP decimated both TMC-CPIM to reign total control over Bengal. CPIM is atleast happy to see Mamata Banerjee's downfall, for them it was personal for all the humiliation against Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.

Dr. Sharadwat Mukherjee, man single handedly broke BJP's Vegetarian image in Bengal. Seeing him go with the fish in Campaigs, other Candidates had also done same. He defeated Sreebhumi Durga Fame & 4 Times TMC MLA Sujit Bose. It's no joke at all. That fort was considered impossible to breach. The Sreebhumi Puja is Kolkata's biggest ever Crowd Puller.
