Amiya Davis pictured here was recently fired from Tim Hortons for asking management a simple question. This series of slideshow photos has some interesting information about what some of us suspected & maybe knew, but some may not know. What is going on at Tim Hortons?

I haven't been back to @TimHortons since they wouldn't allow unvaccinated kids at their camp. They do NOT deserve your business for many reasons, but this is a big one.

It’s clear that @TimHortons was willing to risk its reputation to save a few bucks on labour costs by hiring temporary foreign workers & not provide appropriate supervision. Now videos circulating showing the results. We stopped going once the video with the flies on food came out, nothing they do will ever get us to go back.

I do not buy anything from Tim Hortons for long time now. Why? Because of bad not fresh food. Even MacDonalds have better coffee. Reputation matters.

Is it not racism in the highest order by screening and not hiring based on skin color? (Whites being fired and not hired)

Announcing a new Tim Hortons whistleblower website! We’ve just launched a new website, called and it’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s a place for whistleblowers — especially people who work inside Tim Hortons — to confidentially tell us the truth about what Tim Hortons is doing, especially with its unfair labour practices and its obsession with hiring foreign workers instead of Canadians. If you’re a customer with a horror story, you can also file that complaint right there, too. There are other things you can do at — you can see our latest news reports on Tim Hortons’ bad behaviour; and you can sign our petition, pledging not to eat there. And there’s a fun part to it, also: Tim Hortons was furious that we were criticizing them, so they threatened us with a lawsuit. They think that will shut us up. So, on we’re going to fight back, the Canadian way — with a sense of humour and free speech. We’re having an official Tim Hortons meme contest — make your best “meme” about Tim Hortons. It can be about anything. The decline in quality of their food, for example. Some of the hygiene problems their stores have recently had. But the main thing we care about is their terrible corporate decision to hire foreign workers instead of Canadians. It can be a still image or a video; it can be commentary or an AI movie. Your imagination is the only limit! And on July 1 — Canada Day, or as Tim Hortons calls it, Hire Foreigners Day — we’ll announce the winners, and we’ll have real prizes for the best memes, including great Rebel News merch — and a cash prize of $250 for the top meme. Challenging Tim Hortons is serious business. If they’re willing to abuse their own staff, you can imagine what they’re trying to do to us. They already had Gowlings — a law firm with nearly 1,500 lawyers — threaten us. Well, the truth is a defence, and that’s what is all about. If you’re an insider, tell us what’s going on. If you’re a customer, tell us about your experience with a once-great company. If you’re a citizen, sign the petition promising not to eat there anymore, until they change their ways. And if you’ve got a sense of humour, enter our meme contest — you could even win some prizes! REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:

Kelowna Tim Hortons posts Rebel News ban on its front door — here's what customers said Tim Hortons has spent weeks trying to silence Rebel News with trespass orders and legal threats, but each failed attempt has only revealed more about the so-called "Canadian" coffee chain's foreign hiring policies. A tipster recently reached out to let me know that a particularly thin-skinned Tim Hortons location in West Kelowna has taken things to a whole new level, posting a trespass notice aimed at Rebel News right on its front door for every customer to see. Apparently, management thought that publicly announcing Rebel News was unwelcome would somehow stop us from reporting on the chain's continued reliance on Temporary Foreign Workers at a time when many Canadians are struggling to find work. So I made my way to that location to ask passersby the important question Tim Hortons despises: Is it time for Tim Hortons to abandon its foreign-worker-first agenda and start putting Canadians first? The responses were revealing. I spoke with an 18-year-old who told me he'd been looking for work, including at Tim Hortons, for three months without success. I also heard from residents who had already noticed the anti-Rebel News sign for themselves and disapproved. In contrast, one passerby defended the current system, arguing that "us Punjabis" deserve the jobs and adding that "the natives were here first." I tried to tell him that Canada's foreign worker program doesn’t incentivize hiring Indigenous Canadians either, but he drove off in a hurry. Despite Tim Hortons' efforts to shut down scrutiny, Canadians are still willing to talk about the issue. And Rebel News will continue asking the question the coffee giant seems determined to avoid. 93 Tim Hortons locations are still hiring foreign workers right now! Tim Hortons lied to you. A couple of days ago, every regime media outlet in the country ran the same cheerful story: Tim Hortons, long notorious for importing cheap foreign labour, was turning over a new leaf. They were going to hire 10,000 “locals.” What a turnaround. What a company. Pass the double-double! I didn't buy it. So I went to the government's own temporary foreign worker website and did a quick search. I was shocked to find 93 Tim Hortons locations are actively advertising for temporary foreign workers. Literally at the same time their spin doctors are claiming they’re hiring Canadians. So I printed out the job postings, fired up our billboard truck, and headed to one of the foreign-staffed Tim Hortons to ask for the manager. The Tim Hortons I went to was offering $36 an hour for a restaurant manager. Their government of Canada job listing claimed that no Canadian would do the job. The Tim Hortons executive in the store told me he'd “never seen” the foreign worker ads before. Really? They're on the government TFW website. Anyone can look them up. I showed it to him live, on camera. He should tell that to the father I met outside, whose 21-year-old son can't find work. I spent nearly an hour out front talking to passersby. Not one person — not a single one — said Tim Hortons should keep hiring foreign workers over Canadians. And many of the people I spoke with were immigrants themselves. It's only Tim Hortons that disagrees. (Tim Hortons, by the way, is not even a Canadian company anymore. It's owned by a Brazilian hedge fund called 3G Capital.) Tim Hortons is lying about quitting cheap foreign labour. So we're going to drive that truck to the other locations still hiring foreign workers. It’s bad enough that they’re hiring foreigners instead of locals. It’s worse that they’re lying about it! I've been doing this long enough to know that corporations only change behaviour when they feel it in the till. REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:

Why is a St. Catharines Tim Hortons proudly displaying a legal threat letter sent to Rebel News? We were tipped off that a Tim Hortons location in St. Catharines, Ont., had posted the legal threat letter that was sent to us on June 1. So, we paid them a visit with our big, beautiful billboard truck in tow. You may recall our recent reports regarding Tim Hortons, exposing the company for lying through its teeth at a recent presser. Tim Hortons implied they would go back to hiring Canadian citizens, which would be great news if only it were true. Alas, Tims is still making use of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program! If you check out the federal government’s job board, Tims currently has about 90 positions available under this program. Sure, Tim Hortons loves selling to Canadians. But hiring Canadians? Not so much. Tims was not amused by our coverage. And so, they decided to play hardball. The company was so infuriated that they sent Rebel News a legal letter. We were informed that Rebel News staffers are essentially persona non grata at all Canadian Tim Hortons. Yours truly was especially singled out, as Tims' legal eagle noted that I am now banned for life from going to any Tim Hortons store in Canada! We’re not making this up! Here’s an excerpt from that letter: "David Menzies, due to past behaviour, is not, for any reason, permitted access to the premises, including parking lots, landscaped areas, and drive-thrus of any Tim Hortons restaurant in Canada, any and all manufacturing and distribution facilities owned or operated by TDL across Canada and the Tim Hortons offices in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto." Overreaction much? But here’s the thing: We were tipped off that a Tim Hortons location in St. Catharines, Ont., was proudly displaying the legal threat letter that was sent to us on June 1. How bizarre! Why would they do that? Is it to further a vendetta in a most juvenile fashion? Apparently, head office sent a copy of that letter to all stores. It seems that it is up to the franchisee whether to display it. But again, what’s the ostensible policy reason? To name and shame us? To put customers on high alert so that, if they see me in the parking lot or drive-thru, they will call 9-1-1? How pathetic can you get? Well, if Tim Hortons is dropping the gloves, then so be it. We recently paid a visit to that particular St. Catharines Tims with our big, beautiful billboard truck in tow, to name and shame Tims for its lies regarding the Temporary Foreign Workers Program. As it turns out, just a few klicks away from that St. Catharines Tim Hortons restaurant is where Tim Horton himself, the man, died. Tim was killed in a single-vehicle car crash on February 21, 1974. He was a member of the Buffalo Sabres at the time, and he was driving back to Buffalo after a game against his old team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tim's legacy lives on in the restaurant chain that bears his name. Yet, we wonder: Would he be proud of what it has become? The donuts are no longer baked from scratch. The restaurants are not clean — don’t even dare venture into the washrooms. Canadian citizens are passed over for jobs in favour of noncitizens. And now the corporate bigwigs are banning independent journalists who have the temerity to report the truth. No, Tim Horton, the man, would not be proud of what has become of Tim Hortons, the restaurant chain. In fact, we think he’s now rolling in his grave. Report by David Menzies

Tim Hortons says it's putting Canadians first — but is it really? With Tim Hortons saying it vows to hire more “local” staff, Rebel News investigated a Montreal location that was listed on a government job portal for businesses seeking to hire temporary foreign workers. Tim Hortons recently announced plans to hire up to 10,000 local employees and reduce its reliance on the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. However, a closer look at publicly available government data raises questions about whether that shift is already taking place. Several Tim Hortons locations continue to appear on the federal government's temporary foreign worker job portal, actively advertising positions for foreign workers. This comes at a time when Canada's unemployment rate has climbed to 6.9%, while youth unemployment is hovering around 14%. The issue raises broader questions about priorities in the Canadian labour market. With more Canadians struggling to find work and economic uncertainty looming, some are asking whether available jobs should be offered to Canadian workers first. During a visit to a Tim Hortons location in downtown Montreal, multiple job openings were found being advertised, including positions offering wages of up to $39 per hour. Another detail that stood out was that some of the postings appeared to be open to applicants who speak only English, rather than requiring French or bilingualism. That has sparked questions about language requirements in Quebec, where French is the official language. The situation comes as Tim Hortons faces growing scrutiny over its use of temporary foreign workers and its role in providing entry-level employment opportunities. For many Canadians, particularly young people, jobs at restaurants and coffee shops often serve as a first step into the workforce, providing valuable experience and skills. As debates continue over immigration levels, Canadians are left to decide whether Tim Hortons is living up to its promise of putting local workers first. Rebel News

Tim Hortons is trying to bully us into silence — but we've got a plan to fight back Tim Hortons is trying desperately to shut us up — they’ve called the police on our reporters three times, and now they just had their lawyers file a legal complaint against us, trying to get our store banned off of the internet. For two weeks, we’ve been telling the truth about Tim Hortons and their gross plans to hire foreign workers instead of young Canadians. Our reporting has been a problem for them, because they’ve just started a huge PR campaign to rebrand themselves as Canadian — likely because Dunkin’ Donuts is about to open up hundreds of locations in Canada later this year. Tim Hortons thinks it can win back customers by pretending to be Canadian. But we discovered that, even though Tim Hortons says they are hiring Canadians, they are still actively bringing foreign workers to Canada by using the government’s Temporary Foreign Worker program. So we went to some of those Tim Hortons locations with job listings and asked them why they claim to be hiring locals when, in fact, they are still hiring foreigners. Why lie? One of those Tim Hortons managers lied about it, saying he didn’t know anything about it, while I was literally holding his restaurant's ad for foreigners in my hands. So they courageously kicked us off the property, saying we couldn’t talk to any store managers or owners anymore. They thought maybe that would stop us from exposing their lies. Yeah, no. We kept reporting on their plans to import hundreds of foreign workers. We talked to people going to the Tim Hortons drive-through — and 100% agreed: stop hiring foreigners; hire Canadians instead. Well, that made them go nuts. They had their top lawyer send us a threat letter, telling us that if we go back to ask any more questions, they “will report the trespass to police and pursue all available remedies, including charges under the application act and civil action.” Translation: if we ask them any more questions, they’ll call the cops, press charges, and sue us in civil court, too. Have you ever seen a more thin-skinned bully than Tim Hortons? By the way, it’s obvious why they’re panicking — they’re literally the number one user of foreign workers of any restaurant chain in the country. They are the worst of the worst. Well, obviously, we don’t stop our journalism just because some corporate lawyer threatens us. So we went out again and again and again — but, because we respect private property, we just stood on the public sidewalk. Even still, the crazed lunatics at Tim Hortons literally called the police. I say again: our reporters didn’t go in. Didn’t even come close. They just stood with the Tim Hortons in the background — and these bullies called 911. Can you believe it? They have a corporate PR crisis, independent journalists are exposing their lies about hiring Canadian, and somehow they think that calling the police is the solution? To do what? Arrest us? Put us in jail? Did you know that Tim Hortons is now owned by a Brazilian hedge fund called 3G? Maybe that’s how it works in Brazil — if you criticize a large company, the police will harass you. But we’re in Canada now, hombre. They threatened us with a lawsuit. We didn’t stop. They threatened to call the police. We didn’t stop. So today, they lashed out in a new way: they lodged a trademark complaint against Rebel News, trying to get Shopify to ban our merchandise from being sold. This is the shirt they’re complaining about. It’s clearly not made by Tim Hortons; it’s clearly a gentle criticism of Tim Hortons, wishing they were Canadian again, not foreign. And they had their lawyers send a threat letter to Shopify, saying it’s illegal. Well, I know something about trademark law myself. It’s meant to stop people from passing themselves off as the real thing, to stop confusion in the market. So if you set up Tom Hortons, and made it look the same, that would be a trademark violation — because you’re trying to trick people into thinking it’s the real thing. But criticizing Tim Hortons is not a trademark violation. In fact, criticism and satire are specifically permitted under trademark law. This is literally like an editorial cartoon, very gently ribbing Tim Hortons for hiring foreigners instead of Canadians. But now they’ve filed a trademark dispute, a kind of lawsuit, against us at Shopify. And we have to hire lawyers to respond — and to do so within 48 hours, or we could have our t-shirt suspended from the site, and potentially have our whole store shut down. They’re doing whatever they can to destroy us, to stop us from revealing the truth about their foreign worker scam. So what should we do? Should we be like the rest of the media and cheer for Tim Hortons? Of course not. Here’s my plan — and I need your help: Step 1: We’re going to keep doing journalism about Tim Hortons, how they favour foreign workers over Canadians, and all sorts of other unethical conduct we’re digging up about them. Step 2: We’re going to sell a lot more t-shirts and coffee mugs about Tim Hortons. If we have to go to court to teach these bullies a lesson about free speech, so be it. But you never know — if Tim Hortons gets its way, you won’t be able to get these anymore. That would make them hard-to-find collectibles! Anyways, give Tim Hortons the finger by buying the t-shirt that obviously enrages them, the big bullies. Step 3: We’ve got to ramp up our Tims Boycott petition. Last I checked, we have 14,000 signatures on it — but we need ten times as many! If you haven’t signed it yet, please go to REPORT by Ezra Levant 🍁🚛:

Is this Aurora, Ont. Tim Hortons denying young customers access to the bathroom? You may recall our recent reports regarding Tim Hortons. We exposed the company for lying through its teeth at a recent presser. Tim Hortons said it was going to go back to hiring Canadian citizens. That would certainly be great news — if only it were true. That’s because Tim’s is STILL making use of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program! Indeed, there are about 90 positions currently available under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Oops… Even worse, the company’s CEO has personally registered as a lobbyist to keep make sure the TFW Program remains in place for the benefit of Tim Hortons! Shameful. Tim Hortons loves selling its wares to Canadians. As for hiring Canadians? Nah… not so much, really. But get this: we discovered Tim Hortons has a very thin skin. Because when the executives at Canada’s biggest foodservice company saw our reports, they blew a fuse! You see, Tim’s is used to getting positive press from the mainstream media. Tim’s is one of the largest advertisers in Canada. Translation: this company maintains a cozy business arrangement with the trained seals in the mainstream media. It boils down to this: report nice stuff about Tim’s, and Tim’s will cut big cheques for ads. Quid pro quo. But unlike the mainstream media, Rebel News is not domesticated. We don’t bend the knee to this company nor any other company. And so it was that Tim’s decided to play hardball. Which is to say, the company was so infuriated with our reporting that Rebel News was sent a legal letter on June 1. Here’s the skinny: for practicing unauthorized and unapproved journalism at an Aurora, Ont. Tim Hortons store, I am now BANNED FOR LIFE from going to ANY Tim Hortons in Canada! Wow, that’s harsh! (Well, not really given the nosedive in food quality in recent years…) In any event, we are not making this up! Here’s an excerpt from that letter: “David Menzies, due to past behaviour, is not, for any reason, permitted access to the premises, including parking lots, landscaped areas, and drive-thrus of any Tim Hortons restaurant in Canada, any and all manufacturing and distribution facilities owned or operated by TDL across Canada and the Tim Hortons offices in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto.” Incredible… Do you want to know something else that’s incredible? That very same Tim Hortons in Aurora is currently breaking the law! Here’s the skinny: we interviewed a young lady, Jordyn,18, while on-site (well, we were on a public sidewalk as we didn’t want to be arrested for trespassing.) Jordyn told us an astonishing story. Namely, young people at this Tim’s are routinely refused the use of the bathroom — even if they are paying customers! Alas, this time the control freaks at Tim Hortons have gone too far. First, they are breaking the public health code of York Region. Which is to say a sit-down restaurant MUST provide the use of a bathroom for paying customers – regardless of age. Secondly, this franchise is clearly in violation of the Ontario Human Rights Code when it comes to ageism. Indeed, this particular Tim Hortons is truly skating on thin ice believing that it is above the law. And get this: when we phoned the franchise owner, Drew, we caught him in a lie! Drew said nobody is denied the use of the washroom — even though just minutes earlier a supervisor said it is true that young people are banned from the bathroom, especially when the restaurant gets busy. And yes, we have it all on tape. Bottom line: it is downright disgusting this Tim Hortons franchise would deny a basic human right to its paying customers. What are they thinking? As for the owner, Drew, we predict he has a very bright future ahead for him at Tim’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International Inc. Just like RBI’s CEO, Drew is very adept in the art of lying. And that surely makes this particular Tim-Wit executive class material… REPORT by David Menzies:

💥We just caught Tim Hortons lying to your face! While Tim Hortons runs a national PR tour telling the media they've changed, they're actively recruiting overseas and shutting Canadians out. We just caught Tim Hortons telling a big lie — and they told it straight to your face! This week, the company — which isn't even Canadian, by the way; it's owned by a Brazilian hedge fund called 3G Capital — announced with great fanfare that they're going to start hiring Canadians again. The regime media ate it up without a single hard question. The Globe and Mail. CTV. Global News. All of them just reprinted Tim Hortons' talking points, word for word. Not surprising — Tim Hortons is one of their biggest advertisers. They've been paid to look the other way. But here's what they didn't tell you. Just seven days ago, the Tim Hortons CEO was personally registered as a lobbyist to keep Canada's immigration laws as loose as possible. It's right there in the official lobbyist registry — in his own words. He's been going to bat for mass immigration while publicly claiming the company hasn't lobbied for foreign workers in over a year. That's what he told the Globe and a lie. But, wait. There's more. Go right now to federal government's Temporary Foreign Worker website, built for foreigners to find jobs in Canada — and search "Tim Hortons." What do you find? Eighty-eight active job postings. Right now. Today. Food counter attendants in Victoria. Supervisors in Duncan, B.C. Entry-level jobs in Fort McMurray and Prince George. Restaurant Managers in Toronto and in Mississauga. Jobs that any Canadian teenager or young adult could do. While Tim Hortons runs a national PR tour telling the media they've changed, they're actively recruiting overseas and shutting Canadians out. They think you're too stupid to find out. Prove them wrong. Join the Rebel News boycott at Tim Hortons is counting on you to forget — and they’re hoping you won’t notice they still prefer foreigners to Canadians. Don't let them get away with it. Share this email, tell your friends, and add your name to the boycott at The Tim Hortons CEO was personally registered as a lobbyist for looser immigration laws just seven days ago — while publicly claiming to the Globe and Mail that they hadn't lobbied for foreign workers in over a year. It's in the official registry, in black and white. They lied to the mainstream media, and the mainstream media didn't care — because Tim Hortons pays their bills. Right now, Tim Hortons has 88 active job listings on the federal government's Temporary Foreign Worker website — reserved for overseas hires. Food counter attendants. Supervisors. Entry-level positions in cities across Canada. Young Canadians face 14.3% unemployment, and Tim Hortons is choosing to look past them entirely.

Shooting the messenger? Rebel News reporter BANNED FOR LIFE from visiting Tim Hortons! Just when you think you’ve seen everything, along comes a story about a double-double turning into double trouble… You may recall our recent reports regarding Tim Hortons. (OK, we made up that last part. But the truth is, we don’t know who signed the letter because we can’t read the signature. But it sure looks like “Tim Bit” to us…) But seriously, such a cruel punishment, eh? You see, I can no longer purchase an inedible edible that tastes like a piece of rancid cardboard. I cannot venture into a bathroom that resembles a public beach in Mumbai, India. I can no longer gaze upon a baked goods display case overrun by insects. Oh, say it ain’t so! Gee, what other “delights” can I look forward to being banned from? Going for a scenic drive in Kapuskasing during a winter blizzard? Being denied floor seats at a Yoko Ono concert? Oh, the humanity…! Don’t worry, Tim’s. I promise to stay out of your filthy restaurants and never again consume your garbage cuisine. Besides, in the months ahead, some 700 Dunkin’ Donuts are going to open in Canada. We can’t wait! But get this: even me being on a public sidewalk near a Tim Hortons is unacceptable to the Tim Wits. That’s what we found out last Thursday when we returned to the Aurora Tim’s. Myself and cameraman Lincoln Jay obeyed the legal letter and recorded a follow-up video from the sidewalk along Wellington Street East. Alas, the mere sight of Rebel News staffers – even from afar – had the owner frothing mad. He actually called the cops! And incredibly, THREE York Regional Police cruisers rushed to the scene of the non-crime. They lingered there for more than an hour. Why? Who knows? Oh, just to put things in perspective, York Region is in the midst of its worst crime wave ever. And this is what law enforcement squanders its resources on? Unbelievable… So, in the final analysis, what have we learned about Tim Hortons? Firstly, this company is run by a bunch of traitors. Tim Hortons, which grossly wraps itself in the Maple Leaf, prefers to hire noncitizens over Canadians. Because this multi-billion dollar company is all about the bottom line and it will use any nickel-and-dime strategy to boost profits. Ethics mean nothing to this company. Secondly, Tim Hortons is run by bullies. We caught them in a blatant lie. And we called them out. And for the utter temerity of reporting the truth, they threaten me with arrest? These are Banana Republic garbage tactics. How sad. We think of the late great hockey player for whom this company is named. That Tim Horton must be rolling in his grave right now.
