An actual deep dive on the raw input riley counterstrike clip, recreating different aim types and demonstrating how they work, from the perspective of a gamedev; understandable by anyone. I officially declare the case closed and we can all move on.

good video!

nice video :D she doesn't use the mouselift to stop flicks most of the time, and you can see in the bounciness of the landing that it's likely wrist-tension driven. as you show in the viscose clip afterwards, you can def stop hard on the target without having to use the mouselift. nitpick aside this was a good watch!

I think in the viscose clip that actually was a lift off, when it shows it frame by frame? Might be the latency between cam and the footage making it look that way. But the aiming to the rock yeah you're right that it looks more like just tension. I guess I was responding more generally to the "instant snap" claims - same for the 'reactions' people complained about, it's not really relevant in that rock clip but people said it anyway. Some of the stuff I saw on her livestream the other day definitely looked like flicking off for dead stops though before corrections, I've never managed to get anywhere close to hard stops like that without lifting off. Maybe the 60fps video helps hide some of it that you'd see yourself in game.

@rileycs_ >Case closed >Looks inside >Provides 0 definitive and conclusive evidence

I also called the video 'S01 E01 The Butler Did It', so I'm taking a little creative license here. But I think my evidence is fairly conclusive in showing it's likely not an aimbot or there's no reason to think it is. Of course it wouldn't be possible to say for absolutely sure about any clip from any player.

@rileycs_ tbh with you, your video only convinced me otherwise, and I would like to see any reasonable argument about a 1 frame flick that was blatantly not even expected by the player right after the infamous shot through the rock.

You do a 90 degree flick to the left as a wrist aimer, your hand is out of place, so after you stop shooting and you get a moment of downtime, you reset your hand by lifting then dropping it down to the right. Hence the small snap to the right. Please keep in mind that 1 frame flick goes absolutely no where near any enemy.

@rileycs_ Gonna be super funny if proof comes out that they are 100% cheating. I want to watch my TL burn again pls

@rileycs_ I'd love it, and would happily concede

YouTube link for higher quality:

For the people quoting 'cheat developers' opinions on this: attached image. No disrespect to anyone who actually does know what they're talking about, but we're going to need a little more than "I just learnt what aimbots are" buzzwords. I'd love to see someone make a video like mine except explaining a consistent aimbot theory that matches the footage.

@rileycs_ great video, it's refreshing to see someone who actually knows what they're talking about and is thinking clearly.

@rileycs_ The video maker says "She", I already don't trust his grasp on facts

@rileycs_ So does her profile. If you think my analysis is about biology you'll be really disappointed in the video.

@LincolnMargison @nathanweisser @rileycs_ Why do you say this 🤔 She's a she, doesnt matter if she cheats or not. But genuinely why do people say shes a "he"

If someone says "call me rob" do you ask to see their birth certificate and then tell them it's factually robert and that they are a liar? Now ... if they demand you call them robby big bollocks and get mad if you say it wrong, that's where the courtesy ends. But saying "she" instead of "he" at their request really isn't a big deal. I also wouldn't comment/complain at anyone choosing not to honour the preference.

It's equivalent. Requesting how someone refers to you. Also, I'll bet you think that people should be free to say what they want right? Not have to conform to politically correct grammar if they don't want to and so forth? If so; someone is also free to say "call me this". And I'm free to do so or not, as are you. You're the one trying to impose rules on my speech.

Hello, I've used cheats in 3 different FPS games. I've also done gamedev and C++. What your argument doesn't seem to account for is softlock + shittily developed LoS checker / lack of of LoS check + Riley already being a decent aimer. He is cheating, I know because I've done it and know what it looks like. 👍

@rileycs_ I did account for that. I mentioned a subtle/lowFOV basic aimbot and why that doesn't explain it, since high accuracy isn't even the problem, or evident in the clip.

@rileycs_ It's a thing called softlock, hardlock aimbots are for HvH. Also, check this for evidence of aimbot targeting bones in his clips:

@rileycs_ That clip shows nothing. Do you think that I don't know about smooth aimbots though, given that you presumably watched the video? Just because I ruled it out (and also explained why I was ruling it out in the vid) doesn't mean I haven't been aware for the last 30 years.

@rileycs_ Thank you for showing that you're not arguing in good faith. "This clip shows nothing." Except for, you know, his aimbot locking onto different bones of the mesh adjusting pixel perfectly with tiny 1 frame movements with no delays.

Not a single bone gets locked onto. None of it is pixel perfect. There are a few very brief moments where it vaguely moves in the same direction. The first one shown is the closest, but it's weak. Also it's no where near a bone, so saying it's locked to bones suggests you listened to the video not made up your own mind. Or both you and the vid maker coincidentally don't know what bones are in the context of games. You'd have better luck saying it's pixel tracking via an AI vision cheat than suggesting bones because bones exist in 3d space, that video shows a few lineups in 2d screenspace. Send any vid of your choice of a trusted player and I'll point to this occurring.

@rileycs_ Hips and head. Here's my BF4 aimbot doing the same thing.

@rileycs_ Here's Riley doing the same

@rileycs_ The handcam stream done to prove that they weren't using aimbots completely disproves this since the mouse movements don't line up with the on screen movement unless they have a variable sensitivity on the mouse that can change mid movement.

Cam latency. Try it yourself if you have a webcam, overlay it in OBS and move around, you'll see the delay. You can overcome this by artificially adding a delay to the stream (and audio too I guess) in OBS to make it all sync up but yeah. If you cared to, you could take the vod into some video software (eg. davinci resolve, free), duplicate the track, crop the handcam, but then shift it forward by a few frames. Then you'd see the hand movement & game footage in sync.

@rileycs_ The delay doesn't explain the variable sensitivity, that would only explain a lag between mouse movements and screen movements with the bias towards the screen. I get that is the standard response but try to tailor it to what was actually said since it doesn't address my point

I watched for a bit and didn't see that issue, can you point to a specific timeframe and I'll take a look? If it isn't just the latency and it's actually looking like variable sensitivity when accounting for the latency, maybe it's not always clear when the mouse is lifted/touching down? Or perhaps she uses mouse accel, which would be a variable sensitivity

@rileycs_ Stfu. That dude is cheating and everyone knows it.

@rileycs_ Haven’t watched but does your video explain this clip?

@rileycs_ Yeah, an aimbot certainly wouldn't explain snapping to no one, it's very likely just a mouse reset. I agree that this is the most weird part of the entire thing. An accidental one frame flick by a quick mouse reset. If THIS landed on the enemy I'd be super suspicious.

@LincolnMargison @Kyrietard @rileycs_ Are you? This is where to flick goes to. There is NO ONE HERE. fucking hell. Dense mfers.

@LawsonJSims @LincolnMargison @Kyrietard @rileycs_ He stopped shooting lmao

@LawsonJSims @LincolnMargison @Kyrietard @rileycs_ And?

@LawsonJSims @LincolnMargison @Kyrietard @rileycs_ Do you think his aimbot would be 100% randomly flicking onto random enemies or can you fathom the fact that maybe the aimbot stops snapping when he stops shooting

If that's the case why would it ever go past the enemy? Let me guess, that's the aimbot doing some intentional overshoot or randomness to help hide it? So you are thinking this is an aimbot not because it goes to the target accurately, not because it tracks the target, not because of the timing of it (eg. it's not instantly after death of the previous enemy).. But simply because... what? It's a fast motion? Once you know of the existence of one-frame-flicks and the concept of resetting the mouse position after doing a 90 degree left flick, this will all fall in to place.
@rileycs_ He is cheater, lets move on

@rileycs_ Bro i made a few games with the unreal engine so i know a thing or two about games this transvestite was clearly just a good aimer

@rileycs_ Finally someone knowledgeable giving perspective and insight and not just cringe lords saying “erm I’m part of the aim community and…” this was a great video. Well done.

@rileycs_ Just how he shot and lock the aim at two enemys at once behind the walls

I'm not sure who that far left enemy is in your drawing, is that the one who gets killed first immediately from peaking the rock? Because that enemy does not look to be anywhere near the spot where the first shot was. It looks like the first shot goes quite far to the left of [C] and no enemy seemed to be over there at least from what we saw. Also, you're confident to say "aimbot 100%" but you are suggesting inhumanly perfect flicks onto enemies - but you cannot see them. You're just guessing that it's actually aimbotting onto them because the video doesn't show it. Now if we had a demo and could turn on a spectate mode/wallhack, and it turned out she DID directly aim at the head twice behind that rock, then I would certainly have egg on my face for this video. But without that evidence we just have to guess it's on target. Basically: If you guess it's perfectly on target even though we can't see that = she's cheating. Doesn't seem fair to invent the evidence from our imagination of where the hidden enemy is.

@BoMahdi_KSA @rileycs_ explain this clip then, why the hell did she lock on to nothing immediately after the kill?

@LincolnMargison @BoMahdi_KSA @rileycs_ so shes hacking... because she locked onto nothing? what would even be the purpose of that. try picking up or putting down your mouse quickly at an angle and you'll get a super quick jump like that, readjusted the mouse is why her aim did that. Why would cheats flick at nothin?

@znadzreenn @LincolnMargison @BoMahdi_KSA @rileycs_ Do you even use a mouse or you are just a trackpad person?. A mouse will never do that when is in working condition, but when it locks onto something and he still moves WASD but is crosshair wont move with it then you know 100% there is an aim assist there(cheat or what ever)

@dalt524642 @znadzreenn @BoMahdi_KSA @rileycs_ Yes, a mouse absolutely will do that in working condition. Turn your lift off distance down and slightly reset your mouse, only lifting up by a couple mm, as fast as you can. Give this a watch:

@dalt524642 @znadzreenn @BoMahdi_KSA @rileycs_ My friend, if I were to be born 10 years ago perhaps I would belive you. But I am far to old have seen way to many hacks for all the first person shooters out there to even concider you belivable. 1 frame flick xD what a joke you are.

@dalt524642 @znadzreenn @BoMahdi_KSA @rileycs_ So you don't believe in 1 frame flicks? You're just dismissing that common technique/mouse phenomenon entirely yea?

@rileycs_ Stfu troon.

@rileycs_ I mean anyone half decent could tell that at least the aiming part wasnt cheated. Its just the casual that are shit at the game who think having good aim means you are cheater

@rileycs_ If you spend 30 hours playing like an aderall addict on 3200 dpi you will inevitably get 3 mins worth of clips that look like this

What inspired you to make this? I was 60/40 cheating/not cheating but after watching your clip with the slow mo it shifts slightly to 70/30. She flicked right onto target and was pre-firing. Why was she already firing into the mountain side with no visible target? Also I find it interesting that so many people care so much about this and I keep seeing it on my timeline lol. If we're all being totally honest you can't be 100% sure by just watching these clips. Things just look suspicious. I just don't know how anybody can sit here and speak with any certainty on whether she's cheating or not. Like everyone is SOOOOOO sure. To me I'm just thinking "probably toggling an aimbot" but I'm not sure. There's this strange thing here though where everybody feels the need to defend her or attack her. And claim with 100% certainty. It's very strange to me. She has a track record apparently playing other games, should be able to analyze those clips and discern if this is consistent with her play style. Also, eventually the stats will be out so we'll be able to see her accuracy and if she maintains her stats with no ban... Then we'll know she's legit.

Well me personally, it's just an interesting topic that aligns with a few things I'm into which everyone was talking about for a few days. I also generally make dev related videos for a living. And sure, we can't be 100% certain, but what I think we can be certain of is that the things people are accusing her of are NOT valid arguments. EG "snapped 180" = nope, a 90 degree flick that wasn't even a snap. "perfectly accurate through a rock" = nope, no way of knowing that; if the person is behind a rock how could you possibly know from a video? "instant reactions" = nope, not even close, target switching isn't reaction based and even if it was there's no instant switch in that clip at least. "one frame snapped to the next enemy" = nope, lands no where near. Just a whole lot of people impressed by the clip and immediately throwing out random cheat terms/specifics without really watching the video to see if any of them are true. Now if she happened to also be cheating, irrespective of every single accusation being wrong, fine, but we'd have the exact same reasoning to believe any random player is cheating by that logic.

@rileycs_ I’d rather a cheat provider or designer for Battle Field games make a video. This is good insight, but I’d like their take on this

@rileycs_ Yup, admittedly I know nothing about battlefield really. But aiming mechanics are fairly universal so I felt like I could weigh in on it.

@rileycs_ No i understand and your insight honestly is most appreciated cause i get more of a grasp on how cheats work over for FPS games so I love this video and want to watch it more in depth when i get a chance to

@rileycs_ Game dev? I worked in the industry for 30 years. Sorry but this isn't closed.

I wasn't saying I'm a gamedev to give myself credit, just that it's from the perspective of one. The credit I gave myself was shown in the video. If someone else is making some demonstration of an understanding of aimbots/possibilities with aimbots I'd trust them more than just vague statements of "he's cheating dude".

@rileycs_ As some one thatts never used aim bot this has given me some insight too how they work but why would they not just use render distance to lock on a target so it will flick too the closest each time

The closest wouldn't ordinarily be the one you want to aim at. Imagine you had your back to a wall and there was an enemy on it, but someone pops out (visibly) who you want to shoot, and instead it makes you do a 180 into the wall because that target was 'closer'. If you're watching an angle and when someone pops out instead of shooting them you do a 90 degree flick to someone inside a building. The closest to the crosshair would be the most sane, maybe with some distance sorting thrown in. EG so it's a combination of "how close to crosshair" and "how close to me in distance", but even with that, without checking if the enemy is visible, it would so often end up with you locked in / pulled toward the wrong spot rather than the obvious & visible person on screen. You'd get away with it if it was making some small minor adjustments (just helping out accuracy) but not if it's doing 90 degree flicks. But if it's just helping out the accuracy; why is it so rarely actually accurate? Most of the shots throughout the vid either have a little overshoot or undershoot. An aimbot "could" do that, the one I showed at the start pretty much does, but there's nothing suspicious or inhuman about those corrections near to the target; it's the big fast flicks that are getting people talking.

@rileycs_ I know it’s the wild flicks that people are talking about I have played comp bf so I use too play the game like 70% from mini map it was just a question in battlefield you have direction on a push (odjective) so it would be very rare someone was coming from the wrong direction

@rileycs_ aimbot ✅

@rileycs_ And what's it doing specifically? Got a theory of how it could work that I overlooked in the vid?

@rileycs_ Nice vid, the amount of people ignoring evidence and spreading hate is unsettling.

@rileycs_ I love how this clears up the only sus part of her clip Yeah, I don't think you could realistically develop an aimbot that is both as sophisticated enough to fake human errors and as shitty to lock in to a target 180 degrees to your back at the same time AND in such a short time

@rileycs_ Y’all really trying to convince the people that have watched or played competitive gaming for most of their life that this isn’t blatant cheating. Thats why you literally never see any footage of active competing pros shooting like this in any game.

@rileycs_ I DONT FUCKIGN CARE OH MY GOD STOP SHOWI9NG ME THIOS FUCKING CLOP MAN

@rileycs_ Cool story bro. They've cheated before and a cheat dev told us exactly how their doing it.

You really think they told you 'exactly'? Or did they just say some cool sounding buzzwords that hyped you up? Their explanation does not make sense or explain anything nor do they provide any argument for why they believe their random values plucked from no-where. Hmm it's actually a 4.58 caliber engagement assisted smoothness, I think with a moderate coefficient, probably external! Come on. At least wait until someone makes a video like mine except arguing from the cheating side. Someone saying some general terms for standard public cheat settings does not prove a single thing. Also, twitch is not an anticheat. Please stop believing your perceived authorities on this topic.

@rileycs_ Y'all can keep being idiots I guess. We're gonna keep reporting the cheater. i haven't seen any explanation at all for the wall snaps and aiming off of people BEFORE the kill tick appears.

@rileycs_ Idc if the persons cheating or not but throwing out 'aimbots tend to check if something is visible' is crazy to hear. Every aimbot i have ever seen, and every time I have been killed by them, its from being locked on through a wall lol

@rileycs_ Aimbots that are trying to be subtle/legit* Also there's a bias there, "every aimbot I have ever seen". You haven't seen the ones you can't see, and only the ones you have. It would be like saying "every wig I see looks obvious".

@rileycs_ Everything you just said is completely redundant

Can you explain how it's redundant? You said every aimbot you have ever seen is locking on through walls. Do you realise how that has the failure point of "you didn't notice the guy with the subtle or realistic aimbot that shot you in a way that looked completely legit"? Would you say my example at the start of the vid was aimbotted/assisted in any way if you saw it on a killcam, nevermind completely generated?

@rileycs_ Because, all I said was 'hearing that is crazy' not that it was wrong. Then I can only speak on my experiences for my POV, so mentioning things I dont see, is redundant.

I wasn't saying that you're wrong just pointing out that there's a bias where it's only possible to see the visible ones. Like if I said "most aimbots are invisible" and you said "it's crazy to hear they're mostly invisible because every time i see one its visible". You're not wrong or anything but your statement was obvious due to the bias of only seeing the obvious stuff.

@rileycs_ I dont have the energy, sure, you're right. Peace.

@rileycs_ HOVERING

@rileycs_ The mentality ill man was cheating. Anyone can see that.

@rileycs_ Great video!

@rileycs_

@rileycs_ Holy hell someone who actually knows what they're talking about joined the chat! Thank you for the input in this, that being said shes got well over 1000 hours on kovvak's aim trainer plus 1000 split between BF4-2042 (her words not mine)
