As a parent I believe it's justified. I'd be appalled if I saw my child on video behaving this way towards adults. I'd say to him, "Why didn't you listen and why did you bite him?!" If we don't discipline our kids someone else will!

No. He should have seen the situation was escalating - essentially because the students rightly felt he could not physically subdue them. He should have had the bus stay parked and called in 10 more adults and shown overwhelming force to remove the one student he was after.

The girl should be suspended for at least the year, if not indefinitely. She made a nonviolent the situation violent. The guy screaming about not hitting girls should be out for a few weeks, but given enough time to make up the year.
