This video is from Middlesbrough in 2024. Suddenly, the recent headlines are starting to make a lot more sense. I never realised just how serious the crime problem in Middlesbrough was until the recent violence and deaths put the area firmly in the spotlight. Now you look back and see footage of youths smashing house windows and damaging cars in broad daylight. When gangs are able to terrorise entire communities, the authorities have lost control. If the police don't have the resources to restore order, bring in military support if necessary. Residents deserve safe streets, not fear outside their own front doors.
