“Isn’t it wonderful? I’m going to jail!” gets me every time. My favorite movie ever.

I think Allen Iverson could

With practice

It’s Suzu riding on his back down the stairs and the way the banister still falls apart but he kisses it before putting it back, AI just cannot replicate these tiny moments of humanity because it has none. Because it’s real and because it’s human

Maybe the greatest movie ever

George Bailey kissing the bannister knob is my Roman Empire

Cried watching this every fucking time man

AI couldn't even make something as good as Argylle let's be real

This movie kicks ass Another win for the indomitable human spirit

When AI is able to produce this level of euphoria, I’ll submit

does it get better than this?

“Are you real?” 🥹

@OSthatguy ai would not make me cry like a baby on christmas day

i like how the trailer that the AI made looks like a windows screensaver rather than an actual movie that could exist

i know this isn't like the greatest crowning achievement in film but it does genuinely. make me cry. like really. ewhich is still something

I’m not watching jimmy from high school’s three hour taxi driver spin-off made with ai lmao.

AI could never do anything like the scene where George explodes in anger at his Uncle. All his frustrations come out in 20 seconds with his back to the camera. It’s the moment in the movie that makes the ending so much special. No AI will understand that.

Great, now I have to rewatch the entire scene

It will be able to in a year

Forget AI, very few people can.....

Movies in this day and age can’t even do this

Yet.

Yet

Ai will not replace the human touch

People that claim AI will kill films think of art as a commodity, and less of a human work of art. They are starting to see films as things to make money from, instead of the complex emotions every piece of art brings within itself. AI will never replace the human art.

Yet

It’s really just about making a product that could garner profit+attention than the love of filmmaking for these duds. They’ve never watched more than 50 movies in their lives to make such a statement.

not yet

Watched this film over Christmas. Teared up several times... It's something so, so special.
