Marketing is all about creating something simple yet interesting. Illustrating the product perfectly around a little story!

Japanese commercials are always the best.

Bro was forced to climb the whole way while being laughed at

As transportation engineering student some years back I was performing traffic sound level measurements in Munich for a seven days straight for 12 h a day. The batteries in the sound level meter lasted only a few hours, so I had to change them every day two to three times (x4 regular AA batteries). As a side experiment, out of curiosity, along with the sound level measurement I would buy different battery brand every time (the ones from this ad, the really expensive ones, mid priced, the cheapest) and would note the time they would last. In my empirical experiment the cheapest batteries would last 4h on average whilst the most expensive would last 5h until fully discharged. At the same time the price difference between the cheapest ones and the most expensive ones was three times. It it needless to say that since then I only buy the cheapest batteries.

That’s a good battery right there. And maybe an even better toy

"National was formerly the premier brand on most Matsushita products, including audio and video and was combined in 1988 as National Panasonic after the worldwide success of the Panasonic name." (the proper name is 'Matsushita', Panasonic is one of their brands)
