This transformation was a masterclass. This should be used as an exemplar in film school.

Sorry it's good but Robert Picardo (Star Trek Voyager) as Eddy in the Howling's transformation blows it out of the water also if they had a fight Eddy would win hands down.

Slow, painful transformation >> fast, unpleasant transformation…unless the story is arguing lycanthropy is a “gift” rather than a curse (as it should be)

The Nazi wolf scene still haunts me. Is there a better transformation even now?

The crackling of the bones, stretching of the muscles and the undeniable pain is beyond viscerally disturbing and jaw-dropping awesome with every set piece brilliantly edited & constructed. All hail Rick Baker ushering in the inaugural Oscar for Best Make-Up.

I think The Thing comes pretty close with freaky body transformations.

Now the only part I don't like is... if he is supposed to be American why is there not a string of curse words coming out as his mouth whether from pain or panic 🤣
