Hot take but id prefer a shantae show more along an episodic comedy rather then a plot filled anime I think the characters would fit that genre really well

You're not a huge fan of anime to begin with so you being a fan of the things you are has always been ironic to me. That said, anime could still work with your idea, anime is just a medium, not a genre. (Unless it's a steam tag)

On a side note i watched season 1 of frieren and enjoyed it enough that ill probably watch season 2 at some point so hey i found an anime i like

Depends honestly. Generally speaking I agree. However we both have seen how certain games want to be live action movies already, since they spend most of their budget on graphics.

It'd have to be handled by a Japanese studio, & Wayforward themselves would have to handle the translation if they want their IP to be depicted authentically; because you just know any other dubbing studio would love to have the chance to butcher it; butcher a womans creation!

Trigger would be a great studio to do it clearly as we see above. What other studios do you think would work?

As much as I want this, just don't let Netflix or Amazon make it. The majority of the franchises they touched suck. They would handle Shantae the same way. A Japanese studio anime or live action would be a much better fit.

Amazon is actually weirdly okay. They're hands off with it. It's the show runners that make the decisions. That said, I agree.

Same with Earth Defense Force Having an anime in the style of its official artwork by Yoshiidan would be awesome! And given EDF has like 3 seperate continuities they could work with any of em and their aesthetic. I like 3 and 4.1’s style the most
