An anonymous developer just built an NES emulator that makes classic games look like modern remasters, and the results are absolutely stunning. ✨ Would you play NES games like this? 🤔 #retrogaming #emulation #nes #foreskin

Read my name and then consider the game character of our topic.

@BillytimeG You’re kidding, right? It’s same just with unsightly drop shadows on every object. Truly horrible! A demonstrably senseless waste of time.

Nintendo had 4 decades to modernize Super Mario, and we just did it with 0 budget. We can finally experience the original NES classic how it was meant to be seen, making us feel at home again. Your move, Reggie. 👾

That's not stunning, that's just lazily overlaying a few textures over the visuals and echo on the audio.

Ah, just the right way to enhance this classic gem from 1983! Why doesn't Nintendo do this? They could print so much money with this

I am confused. Over 20 yrs ago I was modding original Xbox's with emulators..... 15 years ago It was standard to download PC emulators found everywhere for NES/SNES/SEGA/PS1 This looks exactly the same.

As much as I like the concept, personally I wish emulators did the opposite and try to capture retro games like how they looked like in the 80s/90s as much as possible. I always use CRT filter and 240p/480p resolution whenever I play old games but it's still not the same.

this emulator does both!

This game provided a pretty stellar remaster of Mario 1 back in 1993... It’s easily available on any switch.

okay so they put an annoying echo on every sound and soundtrack unfitting soft shadown behind everything that make it look like cheap plastic gradients on backgrounds, that just looks grainy and completely illogical top right lighting on everything even in a cave

Zelda II released for Famicom January 14, 1987 (yes, I’m a few days late!). I honestly love this game and thought it would be fun to cover 10 ways the NES release is different from Famicom! 1. The NES version rewrites the intro, removes the second “n” from Ganon’s and reference to “another” sleeping Zelda, and refers to palaces rather than sanctuaries. 2. NES introduces an ominous red game over screen, removes the second “” from Ganon and incorporates his taunting laugh, which is reused from Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!! (Released September 18, 1987, while the NES version released Dec. 1, 1988). 3. Link’s sprite has a visible mouth in the NES version absent in Famicom’s. 4. Additional Pillars are added to Zelda’s North Palace chamber for NES. 5. Roaming monsters are more distinct in the NES version. 6. Link’s NES raft sprite in faces right while Famicom’s is forward. 7. Famicom used fewer brick palates for Palaces, with NES including more colors. 8. The 4the boss, Carock at Maze Island, only faces forward for Famicom but can face left or right for NES. 9. The 5th Palace boss for Famicom pits players against a stronger version Helmethead reused from the 2nd Palace, while the NES introduces a new boss, Gooma. 10. The River devil appears as an oni (devil) rather than a spider like creature. This is not exhaustive and I’d love to cover more at a later date! Thank you for watching as I try something new!
