I am convinced that Israel and the United States will dismantle Iran's oil infrastructure, which implies that China will be unable to purchase oil from Iran. I think China will see that as an act of war.

Regional powers that relied on the US will diversify. They need guarantees beyond what the US can provide. US security umbrella proved unreliable. It can no longer be the bedrock of regional security. This doesn't mean a more stable Middle East is coming. Finding a new security equation will be difficult & potentially destabilizing. This war is an inflection point - accelerating the move toward multipolarity. But multipolarity may not mean order. At least not at first. We don't know yet what that world will look like.
